BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on October 1st, 2018 and charged with breach of undertaking for being within 50 metres of a certain school and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on September 27th, 2018 the youth was outside of the school, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. On October 1st, 2018 the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

FAIL TO ATTEND COURT

Cornwall, ON – Joanne McMahon, 44, of Cornwall was arrested on October 1st, 2018 and charged with failing to attend court. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on September 25th, 2018 for an impaired charge and police were contacted to investigate. On October 1st, 2018 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 1st, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on September 5th, 2018, the man was within 500 metres of his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 1st, 2018, police located the man. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on November 6th, 2018. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Gilles Desforges, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on October 1st, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000, as well as breach of probation and undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 1st, 2018 the man attended a Brookdale Avenue store and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 1st, 2018.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 1st, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for contacting and being within 200 metres of his ex-girlfriend’s residence. It is alleged on October 1st, 2018 the man breached his conditions by attending the residence of his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.




DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 1st, 2018 and charged with mischief under $5000 and assault. It is alleged on September 28th, 2018 the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend and ripped a piece of clothing belonging to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 1st, 2018, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 16th, 2018. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 47-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 1st, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to remain in his residence, as well as for contacting and being within 30 metres of his ex-girlfriend’s residence. It is alleged on October 1st, 2018 the man breached his conditions by attending the residence of his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Avery Trudeau, 19, and Brill Trudeau, 21, both of Cornwall, were arrested on October 2nd, 2018 and charged with assault cause bodily harm. Avery Trudeau was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 1st, 2018, both males assaulted a man known to them, causing him to seek medical attention for his injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 2nd, 2018, both men were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 15th, 2018.
