FROST WARNING for the Cornwall Ontario Region! 100418

10:48 AM EDT Thursday 04 October 2018
Frost advisory in effect for:

  • Cornwall – Lancaster
  • Maxville – Alexandria
  • Morrisburg – Long Sault
  • Winchester – Newington

Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas.

Temperatures tonight will plunge to near the zero degree mark under clear skies and light winds, courtesy of an Arctic high pressure area. Frost is likely in many areas overnight into Friday morning as a result.

Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.

Frosty better cover up his skivvies because it is going to be cold tonight. I have on my big homemade quilt and one top of that my daughter put my housecoat over that – it was cold yesterday evening and my son found it warm. We are a family of hot and cold around here.

I think that little Fitzie is still the better candidate and he comes as is and nothing fake. Fitzie you are the greatest of all.

A few days ago hubby went to get his hair cut at his barber and the barber asked him why he is so thin and hubby told him that he was very sick and placed in the hospital for two weeks. Hubby doesn’t eat like before and is on those special drinks that he had while in the hospital and is eating more lightly. I had to eat the rest of his food today. We sure change as we get older.
