DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 45-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 12th, 2018 and charged with mischief under $5000. It is alleged during an argument, the man damaged a television belonging to his girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Marc Fournier, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on October 12th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 12th, 2018, a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service assumed custody of the man from the Ottawa Police Service as the man was in custody on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on November 15th, 2018.

Cornwall, ON – James Labelle, 31, of Ottawa was arrested on October 12th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on October 10th, 2018 the man failed to attend court for a theft charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 12th, 2018, the man was taken into custody. The warrant was executed and the man was held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 13th, 2018 and charged with assault and threats. It is alleged during an argument on October 13th, 2018 the man assaulted his girlfriend made threats to harm her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Lisa Filion, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on October 13th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on October 2nd, 2018 the woman failed to attend court for fraud charges and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On October 13th, 2018, the woman was located during a traffic stop. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on November 15th, 2018.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Ottawa man was arrested on October 13th, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for contacting and being within 800 metres of his ex-girlfriend. It is alleged on October 1st, 2018 the man breached his conditions while he was in the company of his ex-girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. On October 13th, 2018, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.

It is alleged during an argument on October 13th, 2018, the woman assaulted her boyfriend and police were contacted to investigate. ASSAULT, ASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 14th, 2018 and charged with assault and assault cause bodily harm. It is alleged during an argument on October 12th, 2018, the woman assaulted her boyfriend, causing him to seek medical attention for his injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 14th, 2018, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 30th, 2018. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT, THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jeffrey Burles, 34, of Cornwall was arrested on October 14th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with theft under $5000 x 2 and breach of probation x 2 for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 2nd, 2018 the man failed to attend court for a theft charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. It is further alleged on September 6th, 2018, the man attended a Second Street East business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 14th, 2018, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on November 15th, 2018. It is further alleged that later on October 14th, 2018, after being released from police custody, the man attended a Brookdale Avenue business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 14th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman breached her conditions by contacting and being within 50 metres of her ex-boyfriend and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On October 14th, 2018, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on November 15th, 2018. Her name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.
