LAUZON Charged in Cornwall Ontario #CCPS Police Blotter 102218

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES, POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, POSSESSION OF WEAPONS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Albert Jocko, 27, and Brittany Howard, 27, both of Cornwall, were arrested on October 19th, 2018 and charged with the following:

• Possession of Percocets
• Possession of methamphetamine
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking Xanax
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
• Possession of weapons
• Breach of probation (failing to keep the peace)

Jocko was also charged with breaching his prohibition order for possessing weapons.

On October 19th, 2018, members of the CCPS Street Crime Unit executed a drug warrant at a Prince Albert Street address. During the search of the residence a quantity of cocaine, Xanax pills, Percocet pills, and methamphetamine were located. Also located during the search was a taser, a large sword, a knife and baton. Both were taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on October 19th, 2018 and charged with threats. It is alleged the youth made threats to harm another youth known to him and police were contacted to investigate. On October 19th, 2018, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision off the Youth Criminal Justice Act.




TAKE MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT CONSENT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Lauzon, 32, of Cornwall was arrested on October 20th, 2018 and charged with take motor vehicle without consent and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 19th, 2018 the man took a motor vehicle without permission and police were contacted to investigate. On October 20th, 2018 the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 13th, 2018.

WARRANT, THREATS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Kayla Beaverstock, 18, of Cornwall was arrested on October 20th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. She was also charged with threats and breach of recognizance for contacting a certain person. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on September 6th, 2018 for a theft charge and a warrant was issued for her arrest. It is further alleged the woman threatened to harm a woman known to her on October 19th, 2018 and police were contacted to investigate. On October 20th, 2018, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH, RESIST ARREST

Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on October 20th, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to remain in his residence and failing to abide by house rules, as well as resist arrest. It is alleged the youth left his residence on October 19th, 2018, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. On October 20th, 2018, police located the youth. After a brief foot chase, the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

There were 136 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in over the weekend (8am Friday to 8am Monday morning).
