SD&G #OPP Round Up for Monday November 26, 2018

SD&G OPP NEWS

 

(STORMONT DUNDAS & GLENGARRY, ON) – The SD&G Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating several incidents after responding to 123 calls for service from Friday November 23, 2018 to Monday November 26, 2018.

 

Among these occurrences, SD&G OPP responded to:

–             19 Motor Vehicle collision

–             15 calls for Police assistance

–             11- 911 calls

–             13 traffic complaints

–             2 Traffic enforcement occurrence’s

–             2 RIDE Programs

–             3 Domestic disputes

–             1 theft

–             1 Mischief call

–             3 suspicious activity call

–             1 sexual assault call

–             2 family disputes

–             1 warrant call

–             2 fraud complaint

–             1 assault

–             1 break and enter

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

 

(NORTH STORMONT, ON) – On November 24, 2018 at approximately 8:29am, SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a family dispute in North Stormont Township. Investigation revealed an adult male was in contravention of previous release conditions.

 

A 42-year-old male of North Stormont, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Fail to Comply with conditions of a recognizance ( 2 counts)

 

He was released from custody pending a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on December 27, 2018.

 

 




ASSAULT- DOMESTIC

 

(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) – On November 25, 2018 at approximately 9:28am Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of domestic situation in North Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that an adult female had assaulted her boyfriend.

 

A 33-year-old female of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Assault

 

She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall court on December 11, 2018.

 

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

 

(SD&G) – On November 25, 2018 Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement in SD&G and intercepted the following vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and their driver’s permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy and were charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

 

 

– November 25, 2018 – 9:53am (South Dundas); vehicle stopped traveling 158km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (35) from: Oshawa, Ontario.
