Cornwall Chick Charged w Assaulting With a Bar – #CCPS Police Blotter 112818

THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – David St. Denis, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on November 27th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000 x 2. It is alleged on November 24th, 2018, the man attended a Ninth Street business on two occasions and removed electronics, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 27th, 2018, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 27th, 2018.

WARRANT, THEFT UNDER $5000, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, ASSAULT TO RESIST ARREST

Cornwall, ON – Richard Marini, 54, of Cornwall was arrested on November 27th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his conditional sentence order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. It is further alleged on November 27th, 2018, the man attended a Second Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. The man was subsequently stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer, who he then assaulted and attempted to flee in a stolen vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.



ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THEFT FROM A MOTOR VEHICLE

Cornwall, ON – Josie Gougeon-Barkley, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on November 27th, 2018 and charged with assault with a weapon x 2 and theft from a motor vehicle. It is alleged on November 27th, 2018, the woman assaulted a man and woman who were not known to her using a bar, and further removed a bag from the man’s motor vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 27th, 2018.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 27th, 2018 and charged with breach of probation for contacting and being within 50 metres of his ex-girlfriend and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man breached his conditions on November 27th, 2018 when he was observed in the company of his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
