Cornwall Man Charged w Sexual Assaulting 14 Year Old Girl #CCPS 122718

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Nicole Swift, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on December 24th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on November 19th, 2018, the woman took a cell phone from a man known to her and police were contacted to investigate. On December 24th, 2018, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 17th, 2019.




BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 26th, 2018 and charged with breach of undertaking x 2 for contacting and being within 100 metres of his girlfriend. It is alleged during a traffic stop on December 26th, 2018, the man was located in the company of his girlfriend and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on January 17th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, THREATS, DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 26th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with mischief under $5000, threats and assault. It is alleged the man sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in August, 2018. The man further allegedly failed to attend for prints on September 10th, 2018, and failed to attend court on September 18th, 2018 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On December 26th, 2018, police were called to investigate a domestic incident where the man allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, made threats to burn her residence, and damaged a door, walls, and an animal carrier. The man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant, charged accordingly, and was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
