CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Crysler man was arrested on January 24th, 2019 and charged with criminal harassment and breach of undertaking for contacting his ex-girlfriend. It is alleged the man repeatedly contacted his ex-girlfriend between January 13-22, 2019, and police were contacted to investigate. On January 24th, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Gilles Desforges, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on January 24th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000, as well as breach of probation for attending a certain business and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man attended a Brookdale Avenue business, despite his conditions, and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 24th, 2019, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on January 24th, 2019 and charged with breach of undertaking x 2 for contacting and being within 100 metres of her boyfriend. It is alleged while investigating an unrelated matter on January 24th, 2019, the woman was located in the company of her boyfriend and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
