FRAUD UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Jamin Crowder, 21, of Cornwall was arrested on March 11th, 2019 and charged with fraud under $5000. It is alleged the man deposited a stolen check in his bank account on September 4th, 2018 and police were contacted to investigate. On March 11th, 2019, the man was in custody on an unrelated matter (see Daily News for March 11th, 2019). He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old South Dundas woman was arrested on March 11th, 2019 and charged with breach of recognizance for contacting and being within 100 metres of her ex-boyfriend. She was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the woman attended her ex-boyfriend’s residence on March 11th, 2019 and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.

RESIST ARREST, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Joshua Jacobs, 38, of Akwesasne was arrested on March 11th, 2019 and charged with resist arrest and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. While investigating an unrelated matter at the Port of Entry, it is alleged the man became uncooperative with Border Service Officers and police were contacted. The man was taken into custody after a brief struggle, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

THREATS, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 11th, 2019 and charged with domestic threats and mischief under $5000. It is alleged during an argument on March 11th, 2019, the man made threats to kill his girlfriend and damaged a door in the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
