#OPP Charge 3 Near Brockville After Car Ends up in 416 Ditch 072718

(Prescott, ON) On July 26, 2018, shortly after midnight, the Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) assisted a motor vehicle that drove into a ditch, on the 416 southbound highway, near the Spencerville exit. The 23 year old male driver did not sustain injuries, but further investigation revealed the driver had been driving under the influence of alcohol. Cameron Pilla, from Augusta Township is charged with:

  •  Driving while ability impaired by alcohol
  • Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood

 

The accused will appear before the Brockville Superior Court of Justice on August 7, 2018.

On July 26, 2018, at approximately 2:30am, a Grenville County Officer was on patrol when he noticed a trailer without rear lights, being pulled by a pick-up truck, on highway 401 west bound, near the Prescott exit. The officer stopped this vehicle, for the offence of not having working rear trailer lights. Further investigation lead to criminal charges for the 2 passengers.

The female passenger, Terri Evans, age 53, from Kingston was charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance -methamphetamine
  • Possession of a schedule II substance-marihuana

The male passenger, David Smith age 49, also from Kingston, was charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance.

Both accused will appear before the Brockville Superior Court of Justice on August 26, 2018.
