MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION – ROADWAY CLOSED
(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently at the scene of a single vehicle collision on Windfall Road (between Losey Road and County Road 18 ), South Stormont Township.
Preliminary investigation has indicated that at approximately 8:47am, a passenger vehicle was travelling northbound on Windfall Road when, for reasons under investigation, left the roadway and rolled over into the ditch. The adult male driver (59)(lone occupant) of the northbound passenger vehicle was taken to hospital with serious life threatening injuries by Air ambulance.
SD&G OPP continue to process the scene, with the assistance of OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).
As the investigation continues, a section of Windfall Road between Losey Road and County Road 18 is closed to traffic with indicated detours in place.
