BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old St. Andrew’s West woman was arrested on August 3rd, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for contacting and being within 100 metres of her ex-boyfriend. She was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 3rd, 2018 while police were investigating an unrelated matter, the woman was found in the company of her ex-boyfriend, despite her conditions. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
WARRANT, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on August 4th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. The woman was also charged with breach of recognizance for contacting and being within 100 metres of her ex-boyfriend, as well as attending his residence. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on July 17th, 2018 and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On August 4th, 2018 the woman was located by police, at which time she was found in breach of her conditions. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Robert Lagden, 54, of Cornwall was arrested on August 4th, 2018 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on August 4th, 2018 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Fourth Street and Gloucester Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 14th, 2018.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 59-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 5th, 2018 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on August 5th, 2018, during an argument, the man assaulted his common-law wife and police were contacted. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 21st, 2018. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
BREACH, POSSESION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Cornwall, ON – Mathieu Legault, 32, of Cornwall was arrested on August 5th, 2018 and charged with possession of cocaine, as well as breach of recognizance for being in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 5th, 2018, while police were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle, the man was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody, was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Kevin Caza, 53, of Long Sault was arrested on August 5th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on July 3rd, 2018 for a drive disqualified charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On August 5th, 2018 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on September 4th, 2018.
TRESPASS BY NIGHT, BREAK AND ENTER, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Justin Levesque, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on August 5th, 2018 and charged with trespass by night, break and enter, as well as breach of recognizance for possessing and consuming alcohol. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 5th, 2018 the man was found to be trespassing in the area of Third Street and York Street, and further entered a garage belonging to a person unknown to him without permission. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody and was found to have consumed alcohol, and was also in possession of it. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Cornwall, ON – Shawn Jean-Louis, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on August 6th, 2018 and charged with possession of cocaine. It is alleged while police were investigating an unrelated matter on August 6th, 2018 the man was found to be in possession of cocaine and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 11th, 2018.
MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Cornwall, ON – Lyndon Fawcett, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on August 6th, 2018 and charged with mischief under $5000 and possession of cocaine. It is alleged in the early morning hours of August 6th, 2018 the man smashed the window of a taxi cab and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, at which time he was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 11th, 2018.
ASSAULT, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 6th, 2018 and charged with assault, criminal harassment x 2 and threats. It is alleged in July and August, 2018, the man repeatedly followed and communicated with his ex-girlfriend. It is further alleged on August 6th, 2018, the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend, and threatened to harm her mother and her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
