Cornwall Police Charge SHELBY RICHMIRE Credit Card Fraud x12 110518

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on November 2nd, 2018 and charged with breach of probation for being outside after consuming alcohol, for contacting her boyfriend after consuming alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the intoxicated woman breached her conditions on November 2nd, 2018 and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.




WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 2nd, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on July 31st, 2018 for domestic offences and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On November 2nd, 2018 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the courthouse as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and the man remained in custody pending a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

Cornwall, ON – Jamie Bona, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on November 3rd, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man assaulted a man known to him on September 8th, 2018 and police were contacted to investigate. It is further alleged the man failed to attend court on October 18th, 2018 for resisting police and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On November 3rd, 2018 police located the man. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Harry Benedict, 29, of Akwesasne was arrested on November 5th, 2018 and charged with breach of undertaking and breach of probation for consuming alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man was found breaching his conditions when stopped at the Port of Entry on November 4th, 2018. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

UNLAWFUL USE OF A CREDIT CARD, FRAUD UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Shelby Richmire, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on November 5th, 2018 and charged with unlawful use of a credit card x 12 and fraud under $5000 x 12. It is alleged between September 25th-26th, 2018, the woman made 12 unauthorized transactions using a bank card that did not belong to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 5th, 2018, police located the woman. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
