WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – James David, 41, of Akwesasne was arrested on November 13th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on November 6th, 2018 for impaired charges and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On November 13th, 2018, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on December 13th, 2018.
BREACH, THREATS
Cornwall, ON – Ricky Shaver, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on November 13th, 2018 and charged with threats and breach of undertaking x 6 for using social media, failing to reside at a certain address and failing to notify police of a change of address. It is alleged between November 9th and November 13th, 2018, the man used social media on multiple occasions, and on one occasion, sent a message threatening to harm a man known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 13th, 2018, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT, BREACH, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Cornwall, ON – Jean Mitchell, 21, of Cornwall, was arrested on November 13th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, as well as breach of undertaking for failing to abide by a curfew and failing to notify police of a change of address. It is alleged on September 27th, 2018, the man failed to attend court for drug offences and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On November 13th, 2018, police located the man. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant, and found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine and methamphetamine. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
CARE AND CONTROL, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Shannon Kiernan, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on November 14th, 2018 and charged with care and control of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged while in the area of Brookdale Avenue, the woman was found to be in care and control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 29th, 2018.
