Brownell Arrested & Charged In Cornwall Ontario – 041218 #CCPS

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Sebastien Tremblay, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on April 11th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on March 29th, 2018 for theft charges and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 11th, 2018 the man was located by police. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.



BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on April 11th, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for communicating with her ex-girlfriend. It is alleged on April 10th, 2018 the woman communicated with her ex-girlfriend, despite her conditions, and police were contacted. On April 11th, 2018 the woman was located by police. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Michel Lecompte, 60, of Cornwall was arrested on April 11th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on April 3rd, 2018 for a drive disqualified charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 11th, 2018 the man was located by police. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Williamstown youth was arrested on April 11th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on April 9th, 2018 the youth attended a Ninth Street store and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 11th, 2018, police located the youth and she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Michael Tessier, 64, of Cornwall was arrested on April 12th, 2018 and charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief under $5000. It is alleged on April 11th, 2018 the man attended the residence of a man known to him, where he assaulted him with a rock and damaged a window in the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 12th, 2018, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 17th, 2018.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Linzey Brownell, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on April 12th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged while at the Cornwall Square on March 28th and 29th, 2018 the woman attended two different businesses and selected items, making no attempt to pay for the items she left the stores. On April 12th, 2018 police located the female and she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
