Habs Stomp Isles “b” squad 5-1

If they keep winning they can’t miss the play-offs.    This seems to be clicking with the Habs whose veterans led the way to their 5-1 romp over the Isles.     They also outshot them 33-29 which is how to do IT!

kov Big Dawg, Alex Kovalev led the way with 3 helpers and 5 shots.     George Laracque had a fight and Tom Kotsopoulos missed a Penalty shot.  Jaroslav Halak got the well deserved win too.

Ottawa lost to Boston 2-1;  Carolina doubled the Rangers 4-2; St. Louis edged Detroit 5-4;  Calgary over Dallas 2-1;  SJ beat Edmonton 2-1;  Anaheim in the Shoot out 6-5 over Vancouver; and Phoenix beat LA 2-1.

Boy do I hope the Habs don’t trade for Vinny Lecavalier whose season ended today as he’s off for some wrist surgery.

That contract is just way to big and too long to carry with his shoulder and mileage.

Avs Ryan Smyth also called it a season to have some surgery done too.
