A spokeswoman for the Greater Manchester force said: “Police were called to an address in Cheadle at 6.45pm on Friday following reports of an assault.
“A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of common assault and taken into custody. He was later released without charge. Inquiries are continuing.”
