Cornwall ON – Claude Carrier from Cornwall is headed to the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway for NASCAR’s Brickyard 400 courtesy of Benson Auto Parts and the Cornwall & Area Chamber of Commerce.
Carrier has won two tickets to the July 25th race along with two NASCAR jackets, two NASCAR spring jackets, two NASCAR t-shirts and two NASCAR hats from Benson Auto Parts.
The total prize package is valued at more than $800.
Carrier’s name was drawn from thousands of ballots filled by Cornwall and area residents who attended the Chamber’s recent Spring Home & Leisure Show.
“We’re excited to be sending Mr. Carrier and a friend to such a great event,” said Len Tardiff, Manager of Benson Auto Parts on Brookdale. “They’re corporate VIP tickets too, and I’m sure he’ll enjoy the experience at one of the most storied tracks in all of racing.”
“It’s an exciting prize,” said Mr. Carrier. “It’ll be my first NASCAR race and I’m looking forward to it.”
The Brickyard 400 has been a highlight of NASCAR’s schedule since 1994.
Four time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Jimmy Johnson has won three of the last four races at the Brickyard.
