Halak Saves 37 of 38 as Montreal Lives to Play Again – Win 2-1 to keep series alive – Cornwall Ontario – April 24, 2010

Cornwall ON – The Montreal Canadiens showed some pluck, but mostly Jaroslav Halak showed why he’s the number one goalie for the Habs as he kept them in the game and kicked out 37 of 38 shots on goal.

It was a tight hard fought match.  Travis Moen was the hero for Montreal scoring the game winner and just manning it up hard core as Montreal stymied the league’s deadliest offense.

Scott Gomez played over 24 minutes and Coach Jacques Martin shortened his bench essentially going with his main four defensemen.   Andrei Markov and Josh Gorges each logged in over 27 minutes while Hal Gill saw over 25 minutes of action.

The Wings skinned the Coyotes 4-1 taking a 3-2 lead in their series while the Canucks Crowned the Kings 7-2 with the Sedin twins each notching 2 points and  Pavol Demitra getting 3.   The Canucks were in full control and the ice time for the team showed how control they were as it was evenly distributed.
