Liberal MP Domenic Leblanc to Speak at Annual Maple Leaf Dinner – October 20, 2010 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – Claude Poirier, president of the Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry Federal Liberal Association today announced that the Hon. Dominic Leblanc, M.P. representing Beasejour riding in New Brunswick, will be the guest speaker at this year’s annual Maple Leaf Dinner.

“Mr. Leblanc was first elected to Parliament on November 27, 2000 and recently was named the official opposition critic for National Defence issues,” said Mr. Poirier.

The Dinner will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the Best Western Parkway Inn in Cornwall.

Bernadette Clement, Liberal candidate stated, “we are very pleased to have a speaker of Mr. Leblanc’s caliber attending our dinner. He is strong, perfectly bilingual performer in the House of Commons that challenges the Harper government on the shortcomings of its agenda. I believe those that attend our annual Maple Leaf Dinner will enjoy a very informative evening.”

She also mentioned that Mr. Leblanc comes from a family with a history of serving Canadians.

“His father the Hon. Romeo Leblanc was a former Governor General, Senator and Member of Parliament who also represented a New Brunswick riding and rose through the ranks to become a cabinet Minister,” said Ms. Clement.

Cornwall – Claude Poirier, président de l’Association libérale de Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry sud, annonce que l’Honorable Dominic LeBlanc , député de Beauséjour au Nouveau-Brunswick, sera l’invité d’honneur lors du dîner annuel de la Feuille d’érable.

‘Monsieur LeBlanc fut élu au Parlement pour la première fois le 27 novembre 2000. Il fut nommé récemment porte-parole officiel de la Défense Nationale:” dit Monsieur Poirier

Le dîner aura lieu le mercredi 20 octobre 2010 au Best Western Parkway  Inn à Cornwall.

Bernadette Clement , candidate libérale mentionne que nous sommes très heureux et heureuse d’accueillir Monsieur LeBlanc à notre dîner annuel. Parfaitement bilingue et talentueux à la chambre des communes, les gens ne seront pas déçus par ses propos.

Le père de Monsieur LeBlanc était le très Honorable Roméo LeBlanc.  Il fut  gouverneur général, sénateur et membre du parlement qui lui aussi représenta la circonscription de Beauséjour au Nouveau-Brusnwick et fut  aussi membre du Cabinet.

  1. At only $125 a plate or a thousand a table it should be an attainable evening. If you can make time to attend perhaps we could have tea and snacks together. I’ll bring my crystal ball. It’s great to live in a community where one can make a difference for the positive. Leblanc didn’t fall too far from the tree and will discuss a range of issues and hope.

  2. I would rather spend $1.00 for a meal at the Agape Center to make a positive difference in our community, No tea , only one coffee and I can only hope if snacks are available for dessert. Maybe I could sit with these people at my table and discuss real issues and hope.
