Sens Win First Game of 2010/11 Season 3-2 over Hurricanes – Pascal LeClaire injured NHL SCORES – Cornwall Ontario – October 15, 2010

Cornwall ON – Isn’t that a beautiful cup?   That’s what playing in the NHL is all about.   Thursday night was a busy night in the NHL and an interesting one too.

Mike Fisher showed by most teams would be happy to have him dressed for them as he led the Ottawa Senators to a 3-2 win over Carolina Hurricanes.   Getting that monkey off the Sens back was huge.  1-3 isn’t good, but it’s a heck of a lot better than 0-4.

The bad news was that Pascal Leclaire left the game in the 1st period.

Mike Modano’s return to face off against the Stars wasn’t a happy ending for the 40 year old as the Wings were clipped 4-1.   Calgary was snuffed out 3-0 in their own barn by the Florida Panthers.   That must’ve been an interesting dressing room after the game!

Minnesota doubled Edmonton 4-2 on Mikka Koivu’s two goals, Jaroslav Halak picked up his first loss in a Blues Jersey falling 4-3 to Nashville.  Matt D’Agostini scored another goal for St. Louis, and Tampa Bay racked up another win, 3-2 over the Flyers.

Are the Maple Leafs really 4-0? Is it 2012??  What do you think Hockey Fans?  You can post your comments below.
