Alex Kovalev Scores rare goal – Sens Win – Calgary Scores 5 – Loses to Avalanche – NHL SCORES – Friday October 29, Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – Not only did Alex “Big Dawg” Kovalev score a goal, but the Ottawa Senators won a game defeating 5-3.    Daniel Alfredsson, Mike Fisher, Milan Michalek, and Zack Smith also scored.

Tim Thomas shut out the Maple Leafs 2-0 in Bean Town.   The Leafs have now fallen to 5-3-1 for the season as their autumnal plummet to the ground is about on track now after their surprising 4-0 start.  They’re 2 points back of Conference Leading Montreal.

Yes, the Habs are in first a top the conference in spite of not having their best player in the line up; two of their highest players not scoring, and a dead on arrival power play.

Columbus beat Edmonton in the shoot out 3-2; The Yotes doubled the Wings 4-2; Jaroslav Halak Shut out Nashville 3-0 with Matt D’Agostini scoring on the PP; Minnesota edged the Caps 2-1, Los Angeles crowned Dallas 5-2 in Dallas, and Calgary scored 5 times but it wasn’t enough as the Colorado Avalanche scored 6 in regulation time.

Whatcha think Hockey Fans?  Are the Habs for real?  Will Brian Burke pull a trade and turn the Leafs around?  Will the Sens really have less wins than Toronto this year?  You can post your comments below.
