Habs Win Again 3-1 over Islanders in Alex Auld’s debut – Edmonton 7-4 Win Over Hawks – NHL Scores – Saturday October 30, 2010 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – How bad can a defense be when Alex Auld can get a win in net as the Montreal Canadiens back up got last night in Montreal’s 3-1 victory over the New York Islanders?

Benoit Pouliot, Tomas Plekanec, and Travis Moen hit the back of the net for Montreal.   Hal Gill took on Matt Martin in a rumble too.

The Canadiens added to their lead at the top of the Conference.

In other NHL scores, Carolina edged the Rangers 4-3; Atlanta 4-3 over Buffalo in OT; Philly 3-2 over Pittsburgh; Edmonton scored early and often in the 7-4 shredding of the Black Hawks despite being out shot 41-22.  Marty Brodeur got the win over Anaheim as the Devils beat the Ducks 2-1.

Shoot outs are down this year and I for one am happy.  Leave them to the All Star Game or practice.
