Sens Filibustering their way into contention with 4-1 win over Isles – St. Louis Red Hot on Halak Shut Out – NHL Scores – November 5, 2010 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – Jason Spezza shined going +4 for the night and racking up a goal and 3 assists in the Sens 4-1 romp over the Islanders.   It wasn’t pretty hockey, but it was pretty gritty and a win is a win especially for this years crop of Senators.

The Montreal Connection in St. Louis clicked as Jaroslav Halak racked up the shut out and Matt D’Agostini potted another goal in their 2-0 victory over the San Jose Sharks.

Jonathan Quick and the LA Kings shut out Tampa Bay 1-0; it was Vancouver 3-1 over Colorado; Matt Garon and Columbus shut out Atlanta 3-0; Philadelphia 4-1 over the Rangers.

Ottawa’s win has them one slot out of the top 8 in the Eastern Conference where Philadelphia is sitting at the top.   In the West it’s LA barely ahead of the red hot Blues who have 3 games in hand.
