Cornwall ON – It must be a full moon??? Max Lapierre potted two goals for the Habs in their 3-2 loss to the Flyers. It was a fight free game; heck it was a near penalty free game.
After the “noise” involving Mike Richards and PK Subban you’d think the game would prove to be a bit more interesting, but calmer heads, and probably threats from head office prevailed. Carey Price took the loss for Montreal.
The Leafs spanked the Stars 4-1 (see full moon reference…) Even weird was New Jersey shutting out Washington 5-0! Marty Biron racked up another win for the Rangers; this time in their 2-1 victory over Calgary; Columbus shut out Nashville 2-0; Ottawa edged LA 3-2 to win one for Pascal Leclaire. Andrei Kovalev recorded his 1000th point with his goal. Congrats “Big Dawg”!
Tampa Bay’s 3 goal second period was all it took to put the Bruins away in their 3-1 win, and it was Pittsburgh 3-2 over Florida.
