Habs Crown Kings 4-1 – Sens Lose, Calgary loses again Canucks Double Vancouver – NHL SCORES – November 25, 2010 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – The Habs keep winning, but sometimes winning needs to be understood.    It should be interesting to see what moves the Canadiens make before the play offs.

As most hockey fans know winning in the regular season is different than in the post season.

The good news right now is that the Habs are winning without Andrei Markov which probably are going to spell an end to his days with the team unless his salary is greatly reduced as his knee will never be the same if he recovers from his current injury properly.

I like Matt Darche. .  I like his attitude and I like his role.   In the salary cap era Mr. Darche will most likely have a good NHL career.   Pre Cap Days he wouldn’t be in the NHL for long.

The cap is changing hockey.  If you want to sign a star to a star salary you have to balance the books and that means having a lot of intangibles like good attitude and good value on the 3rd or 4th line and role playing can keep you employed.

Lars Eller got a goal!   Scott Gomez got a point!   Carey Price may never get a day off! Alexandre Picard is making the most of his minutes.

San Jose bit rivals Chicago 5-2; Vancouver doubled Colorado 4-2; Philly scored early and often in their 6-1 romp over the Wild; St. Louis 2-1 in the shoot out over Nashville; Boston 3-1 over Florida; Tampa Bay beat the Rangers 5-3.

Will Calgary ever win another game this season?  They lost 2-1 in the shoot out to New Jersey.   Dallas edged Ottawa 2-1; Atlanta Thrashed Detroit 5-1; Washington edged Carolina 3-2; Columbus nipped the Islanders 4-3 giving Matt Garon another win; and Pittsburgh shut out Buffalo 1-0.

So Hab fans, what moves do you think need to be done to tweak the team towards a Stanley Cup?  You can post your comments below.
