Habs Beat Bruins 4-3 – Pacioretty Scores 1st – Leafs Torched by Calgary – NHL SCORES – December 17, 2010 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – Michael Cammalleri is my favorite Hab for many reasons.   He also makes $6 Million bucks and is a star of the team.   While you don’t want to see your $6 Million Dollar Man fightin it was good to see Mikey safe and sound after dropping the gloves with David Krejci in Montreal’s 4-3 win against the Boston Bruins.

It’s not every night you put 4 behind Tim Thomas this year.    I wrote yesterday that the Habs needed to draw more penalties and it was Cammalleri driving to the net that drew the first of the night, a penalty shot which resulted in a goal.  All he needed as an assist for a Gordie Howe Hat Trick!

Scott Gomez has had two 2 assist nights since Max Pacioretty arrived.  Max also put his first goal of the season in the net.

Boston fought back, but Carey Price had enough to keep them at bay as the “Bend but don’t Break” defense held together.   The score could’ve been much worse as the Bruins gave up a lot of opportunities while driving to come back that Tim Thomas kicked out.

In other NHL scores, The Islanders actually won a game defeating Anaheim 3-2; Carolina 3-2 over Atlanta via the shoot out; St. Louis out gunned LA 6-4; Pascal Leclaire got the win for Ottawa in their 3-1 victory over Minnesota with Daniel Alfredsson notching a goal.

It was San Jose 4-3 over Dallas; Calgary torched the Leafs 5-2; and Edmonton doubled Columbus 6-3!

In other NHL news it looks like the Yotes are staying in Phoenix after city council voted to approve a change to the arena lease.
