USE STOLEN CREDIT CARD and BREACH OF PROBATION

Cornwall, Ont. – Lori Ann McConkey, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on the 28th of January, 2011 following a theft investigation.  The female was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.  It is alleged that she stole a purse and wallet which contained credit cards.  Police further allege that she made purchases at 3 different locations within the City of Cornwall with the stolen credit cards.  As a result of the investigation, the female is facing 3 counts of Use Stolen Credit Card and 1 count of Breach of Probation.  She was held in custody until court the following day.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, Ont. – An 18 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 28th of January, 2011 on the strength of two outstanding warrants.  The youth was bound by a Youth Probation Order and it is alleged that he failed to abide by his conditions, resulting in the issuance of a warrant.  It is further alleged that on the 22nd of April, 2010 he failed to attend court.  The youth is facing 1 count of Fail to Appear and 3 counts of Fail to Comply with Youth Probation Order.   He was held in custody until court.  His name is not being released.

ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, Ont. – Gabriel J. Richer, 40, of Long Sault was arrested on January 28th, 2011.  It is alleged that during an argument with another male at a local establishment, he pushed him causing the male to fall backwards and striking his head.  The male required medical attention for his injury.  Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing 1 count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm.  He is scheduled to appear in court on the 17th of February, 2011 to answer to the charge.

THREATS

Cornwall, Ont. – Martin Blair, 39, of No Fixed Address was arrested on the 28th of January, 2011 following a threats investigation.  It is alleged that he was upset with staff members at a hospital facility and uttered a threat to kill three employees.  Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing 3 counts of Utter Death Threats.  The male was held in custody until court.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, Ont. – A 19 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 29th of January, 2011 following a family dispute investigation.  It is alleged that he entered a family member’s residence and caused damage to a computer table, computer and glassware.  Police were contacted and an investigation into the matter resulted in the male facing 1 count of Mischief Under $5,000.00.  His name is withheld as it may identify the victim in this incident.

BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred sometime between 01:30 p.m. on the 28th of January and 02:30 p.m. the following day at a Lennox Street residence.  The point of entry is still under investigation.  The suspect(s) stole a 32” Sanyo television.  If you have any information regarding this break and enter, please contact the Service by dialing (613) 932-2110.

DOMESTIC and BREACH OF UNDERTAKING

Cornwall, Ont. – A 50 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 29th of January, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation.  He was bound by an Undertaking Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.  It is alleged that he attended his 46 year-old girlfriends’ residence where they engaged in a verbal argument.  The argument erupted into a physical altercation. It is alleged that the male struck the victim on the leg with a wine bottle, grabbed her by the throat, choked her and kicked her.  The female did not require medical attention at the time of the incident.  Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing 1 count each of Assault with a Weapon, Weapons Dangerous, Choking and Breach of Undertaking.  He was held in custody until court on the 31st of January, 2011.  His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, Ont. – Ryan Ledoux, 18, of Cornwall was arrested on the 29th of January, 2011 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that on the 27thof September, 2010 he assaulted another male outside a Sydney Street school.  The male required medical attention for his injury.  Police were contacted and a warrant for Assault was issued.  The male was arrested by the O.P.P. and turned over to the Cornwall Community Police Service.  He was released to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, Ont. – A 23 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 30th of January, 2011 following a domestic disturbance.  It is alleged that during an argument with his 25 year-old girlfriend, he caused damage to a dresser mirror.  Police were contacted and as a result of the investigation, the male is facing 1 count of Domestic Mischief.  The male was released to appear in court on the 01st of March, 2011 to answer to the charge.  His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

DRUGS

Cornwall, Ont. – Christian Chartrand, 36, of Gatineau Quebec was arrested on the 30th of January, 2011 during a routine traffic stop.  It is alleged that the male was located in the possession of drugs, believed to be marijuana.  The male is facing 1 count of 1 count of Possession of a Controlled Substance and is scheduled to appear in court on the 15th of March, 2011 to answer to the charge.

ROBBERY

Cornwall, Ont. – Shane Lecombe Brisson, 24, of Cornwall was arrested on the 30th of January, 2011 following a shoplifting incident.  It is alleged that he entered a Water Street East grocery store and stole property.   The male was intercepted by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer at which Brisson fled on foot.  The Officer pursued the male who was then observed entering an awaiting vehicle. The male then struck the Loss Prevention Officer with the car door.  Police were contacted and an investigation commenced.  On January 30th, the male turned himself in and was arrested for 1 count of Robbery.  He was released to appear in court at a later date.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, Ont. – Barry Leclair, 49, of Cornwall was arrested on the 29th of January, 2011 for Criminal Harassment.  It is alleged that on several occasions between December 10th, 2010 and January 27th, 2011, he made repeated contact with an acquaintance after being warned by police to have no contact.  As a result of the police investigation, the male is facing 1 count of Criminal Harassment.  He was held in custody until court on the 31st of January, 2011.

BREACHES, THEFT and WARRANT

Cornwall, Ont. – Daniel Roger D’Aoust, 20, of Ottawa was arrested on the 30th, of January, 2011 for a shoplifting incident.  The male was bound by a Recognizance Order with conditions to reside at a Quebec residence, abide by the house rules and to not be away from that residence unless accompanied.  Police allege that the male entered a Water Street East department store and stole property.  The male was detained by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer until the arrival of a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service.  The male provided police with a false identity.  Once the male’s true identity was confirmed, he was arrested for 1 count of Theft Under $5,000.00, 1 count of Personation and 3 counts of Breach of Recognizance.  Police also learned that there was an outstanding warrant for the male’s arrest in connection with Possession of Stolen Property, Breach of Recognizance and Uttering a Forged Document.  The male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and was held in custody until court on the 31st of January, 2011.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE

Cornwall, Ont. – Timmy Joseph Houle, 33, of Cornwall was arrested in the early hours of January 31st, 2011 during a routine traffic stop.  He was bound by a Recognizance Order with conditions to not be away from his residence between specific hours and to Not associate with persons known to him to have a criminal record.  The male was a passenger in the motor vehicle and accompanied by 2 females who had criminal records.  The male was arrested for 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance and was held in custody until court the following day.
