Early Goals Kill Habs Super Bowl Sunday – Devils Win 4-1 in Montreal NHL SCORES – February 6, 2011 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – The Price wasn’t right Super Bowl Sunday in Montreal.  Carey Price let in two early goals and Montreal never recovered although they did put on a good show while somehow not scoring enough on either Marty Brodeur or Anders Hedberg as the New Jersey Devils beat the Habs 4-1 in Montreal.

It must’ve been a party night in Montreal Saturday as the team was also out shot by the Devils who aren’t known for their offensive prowess this year 30-26.    Ilya Kovalchuk scored 2 goals, but more importantly was allowed six shots on goal.  Not good.

Light game day as it’s Super Bowl Sunday.   Washington Capped the Penguins 3-0, and Tampa Bay nipped St.Louis 4-3 in OT.
