Habs Buffaloed by Ryan Miller – Sabres Win 2-0 – Leafs Keep Dream Alive with 3-0 Win – NHL SCORES – March 23, 2011 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – Andrei Kostitsyn managed to squeeze off two shots as Montreal was shut out 2-0 by Buffalo.    The Habs out shot the Sabres 31-24, but couldn’t get anything past Ryan Miller.    The Habs needed a hero, but it looks like most of those are injured at the moment.

The Leafs in the meanwhile shut out Minnesota 3-0 on goals by Mikhail Grabovski, Carl Gunnarsson, and Joffrey Lupal.   James Reimer picked up the SO and W.

In other NHL Scores Phoenix nipped St. Louis 2-1; Colorado 5-4 over Columbus; Nashville 3 – Edmonton 1; Al Montoya keeps making this most of his NHL break as the Islanders struck the Lightning 5-2; Washington needed the shoot out to edge Philly 5-4; Two Claude Larose goals made the difference for Carolina in their 3-1 win over the Sens; the Rangers nipped the Panthers 1-0; and  Boston clicked 2 points of space between them and Montreal as they beat the Devils 4- 1.

The biggest question this morning is the 4 horse play off race in the Western Conference with Nashville, Anaheim, Dallas, and Chicago vying for the last 3 play off spots.
