Patrick Marleau’s 2 Goals Gives Hope to San Jose Fans – 4-3 Win puts Vancouver with 2 games to 1 lead in Western Conference Final – May 21, 2011

Cornwall ON – Big time players come through in big time games.   With Vancouver up 2 games to 0 in the Western Conference final San Jose was up against the wall and Patrick Marleau responded with 2 goals with Joe Thornton notching 3 assists as the Sharks made this a series holding on and winning 4-3.

Vancouver has been allowing San Jose’s big 3 access and even the ineffective Dany Heatley recorded 3 shots on goal with zero points.

Christian Ehrhoff left the game in the 1st period after taking a big hit and San Jose out shot Vancouver 38-30.

In other NHL news Derek Boogaard’s death was ruled accidental after the discovery of Alcohol and Oxycodone.  Boogaard was 28 at the time of his death and Winnipeg fans are going nuts as media releases have stated that the Atlanta Thrashers have been sold with the plan to move them to the “Peg.”
