DOMESTIC ASSAULT and MISCHIEF

Cornwall, Ont. – A 23 year-old Ottawa male was arrested on the 03rd of June, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation.  It is alleged that during an argument with his 20 year-old ex-girlfriend, he grabbed her arm and in doing so, ripped her shirt.  Police also allege that he caused damage to a wall by kicking it.  Police were contacted and an investigation commenced.  Further investigation revealed that during a previous argument sometime in April 2011, the male caused damage to drywall.  As a result, the male was arrested for 1 count of Assault and 2 counts of Mischief Under $5,000.00.  He was released to appear in court on the 14th of June, 2011 to answer to the charges.  His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

 

 

BREACHES

Cornwall, Ont. – A 22 year-old male and a 19 year-old female were arrested on the 03rd of June, 2011 during a routine traffic stop.  Both parties were bound by their respective Undertaking Orders with conditions to not communicate directly or indirectly with each other.  The couple were also bound by Probation Orders with the same condition:  to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.  On the arrest date, police allege that the couple were located in the company of each other.  As a result, the couple are respectively facing 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking and 1 count of Breach of Probation.  The male was released to appear in court on the 21st of June, 2011 and the female is scheduled for July 5th, 2011.  Their names are not being released.

 

 

BREACHES

Cornwall, Ont. – Mark Wayne Swerdfeger, 45, of Cornwall was arrested on the 04th of June, 2011 for breaching his conditions.  He was bound by an Undertaking Order with a condition to Not possess or consume alcohol or drugs.  He was further bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.  Police allege that they located the male walking on Pitt Street in possession of alcohol.  Police also allege that when they interrupted the male, they found him to be under the influence of alcohol.  As a result, the male was arrested for 1 count of Breach of Undertaking and 1 count of Breach of Probation.  He was released to appear in court on the 21st of June, 2011 to answer to the charges.

 

 

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, Ont. – Christopher Kootoo-Dupuis, 19, of Cornwall was arrested on the 04th of June, 2011 following a mischief investigation. On the 21st of May, 2011 it is alleged that he attended an acquaintance’s residence in possession of a bat and caused damage to a window.  Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing 1 count of Mischief Under $5,000.00.  He was released to appear in court on the 05th of July, 2011.

 

 

PHONE CALLS

Cornwall, Ont. – A 20 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 04th of June, 2011 following a harassing phone calls investigation.  On the 26th of May, 2011 it is alleged that the male’s ex-girlfriend contacted police to report harassing phone calls from the male.  The male was warned by police at that time to refrain from further contact.  Police allege that regardless of the warning, the phone calls continued and the female contacted police once again.   As a result of the investigation, the male was arrested for 1 count of Harassing phone calls and is scheduled to appear in court on the 19th of July, 2011 to answer to the charge.  His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

 

 

BREACH OF UNDERTAKING

Cornwall, Ont. – Gregory Mazurs, 40, of Cornwall was arrested on the 04th of June, 2011 outside a McConnell Avenue business.  The male was bound by an Undertaking Order with a condition to Not possess any matches and lighters outside of his residence or property.  Police arrested the male on a Liquor Licence Act offence outside the business and located a book of matches in his pocket.  As a result, the male is facing 1count of Breach of Undertaking.  He was held in custody until court.

 

 

BREACH OF PROBATION

Cornwall, Ont. – A 27 year-old Cornwall male was arrested in the early hours of June 5th, 2011 for breaching his conditions.  He was bound by a Probation Order with the following conditions:  to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour, to Not Associate or communicate directly or indirectly with a specific female and Not to be within 50 meters of her residence.  Police located the male’s vehicle at the female’s residence and found them to be in the company of each other.  As a result, the male was arrested for 3 counts of Breach of Probation and released to appear in court on the 26th of July, 2011 to answer to the charges.  His name is not being released as it may identify the female in this incident.

 

 

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE

Cornwall, Ont. – A 45 year-old Cornwall female was arrested on June 5th, 2011 for breaching her conditions.  She was bound by a Recognizance Order with the following conditions:  to Not communicate directly or indirectly with a specific male and Not to be within 50 meters of his residence.  Police received information that the female was staying with the male.  Police attended the residence and located the female.  She was arrested for 2 count of Breach of Recognizance and held in custody until court on the 06th of June, 2011 to answer to the charges.  Her name is not being released as it may identify the male in this incident.

 

 

ASSAULT and ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, Ont. – Jordan Villeneuve, 19, of Maxville turned himself into police on the 05th of June, 2011 following an assault investigation.  It is alleged that the previous day, the male engaged in a physical altercation with a male at a Vincent Massey Drive establishment.  During the altercation, it is alleged that the male struck the victim in the groin area and then hit him in the back of the head, causing an injury.  Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing 1 count of Assault and 1 count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm.  The male was released to appear in court on the 21st of June, 2011.

 

 

BREACHES

Cornwall, Ont. – A 44 year-old Cornwall female was arrested on the 05th of June, 2011 for breaching her conditions.  She was bound by 2 Probation Order with the same condition:  to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.  She was further bound by a Recognizance Order with a condition to not attend a specific address.  On the arrest date, it is alleged that police attended that location on an unrelated matter and found the female present.  As a result, the female was arrested for 1 count of Breach of Probation and 1 count of Breach of Recognizance.  She was held in custody until court.  Her name is not being released as it may identify the male in this incident.

CHARGES LAID

(South Stormont, ON.) – On June 5, at approximately 7:25pm, an SD&G officer conducted a traffic stopon a blue Chevrolet Cavalier  for a speeding violation on Highway 401 in South Stormont County.
The officer observed a liquor license act infraction inside the vehicle.  The investigation revealed that the male driver was breaching a previous release condition of not to consume alcohol or any other intoxicating substances.
The 31 yr ld male driver, (Derrick MacIntyre of Woodstock, Ont.), was arrested and faces charges of:

  • Fail to comply

MacIntyre was released on a Recognizance to appear on July 12 in Cornwall Court to answer to the charge.

(North Dundas, ON.)-  On June 4th approximately 1:32am, SD&G officers were on patrol near Shaw Road and County Road 43, North Dundas County when they conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Cobalt.
The investigation revealed that the 24 yr old female driver (Stefania MUCHIA of Vanier, Ontario) was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

MUCHIA was arrested and faces charges of;

  • Impaired operation/ Motor Vehicle
  • Exceed 80mg of Alcohol/ Motor vehicle

She was released on a Promise to Appear in Cornwall Court on June 16th.

(North Stormont, ON.) – On June 4th, at approximately 10:55pm, SD&G officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle rollover on Valley Street in Moose Creek, North Stormont.

Upon arrival at scene, the investigation revealed the 26yr old male driver (Simon BOURBONNAIS from North Glengarry) was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

BOURBONNAIS was arrested and faces charges of;

  • Impaired operation/ motor vehicle
  • Exceed 80mgs of alcohol/ motor vehicle

He was released on a Promise to Appear in Cornwall Court on June 21st.

  1. If Mark Wayne Swerdfeger, Christopher Kootoo-Dupuis, Gregory Mazurs, or Jordan Villeneuve is ever found to be innocent, I hope your paper will print a retraction.

    I would hate to think this paper would destroy an innocent reputation by failing to report the innocence of someone after posting their arrest report.
