Cornwall ON – Here is your police blotter for the Cornwall Ontario area for Tuesday June 28, 2011.

WARRANT – Breaches

Cornwall, Ont. – A 23 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 27th of June, 2011 on the strength of the warrant.  The male was bound by a Recognizance Order with a condition to Not be within 100 meters of any location where his ex-girlfriend may be.  He was further bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.  On the 16th of June, it is alleged that he drove by a residence where his ex-girlfriend was visiting and shouted names at her.  A warrant for his arrest was requested and granted.  On June 27th, he was located walking on Second Street by a member of Community Patrol and arrested for 1 count of Breach of Recognizance and 1 count of Breach of Probation.  He was held in custody until court.  His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

 

 

WARRANT

Cornwall, Ont. – Leonard Francis McPhee, 50, of No Fixed Address was arrested on June 27th, 2011 by the Ottawa Police Service on the strength of a warrant.  On the 01st of March, 2011 it is alleged that he displayed a knife to another male and threatened to kill him with it. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced.  A warrant for his arrest was requested and granted.  He was located in the Ottawa area and transported to Cornwall.  He is facing 1 count of Utter Threats to cause bodily harm or death and 1 count of Assault with a Weapon.  He was held in custody until court on the following day.

 

 

THEFT UNDER $5,000.00, BREACH OF PROBATION, ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO RESIST ARREST and POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, Ont. – Nancy Patricia Hutt, 35, of Cornwall was arrested following a shoplifting incident on June 27th, 2011.  The female was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.  On the offence date, it is alleged that she entered a Ninth Street East grocery store and stole merchandise.  The female was arrested outside the store by the Loss Prevention Officer but she resisted and bit the officer in the forearm.  The female left the area in an awaiting vehicle.  A search of the area by members of Community Patrol resulted in the location of the female who was in possession of the stolen property.  She was arrested for 1 count of Theft Under $5,000.00, 1 count of Breach of Probation and 1 count of Assault with intent to resist arrest and 1 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.  She was released and is scheduled to appear in court on the 14th of July, 2011 to answer to the charges.

 

 

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating the theft of a 2 door, red 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier sometime between June 20th and June 25th from a Second Street storage area.  If you have any information regarding this theft, please contact the Service (613) 932-2110.

 

 

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating the theft of an orange 15’ Doral boat with a 50 hp Chrysler outboard motor from a Montreal Road residence.  This theft occured between June 13th and June 27th,  2011.  If you have any information regarding this theft, please contact the Service at (613) 932-2110.

BREAK AND ENTER

 

(North Stormont) –  On 27Jun11, at approximately 8:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break and enter on Cedarvale Road, North Stormont Township.

 

The investigation revealed that sometime over the weekend unknown suspect(s) attended a residence and broke into a shed. The suspect(s) removed various tools and an 18hp Master craft riding lawn mower.

 

The investigation is ongoing.
