ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON and WEAPONS DANGEROUS

Cornwall, Ont. – Daniel Josep Miner, 56, of Cornwall was arrested on the 30th of June, 2011 following an altercation with another male.  On the offence date, it is alleged that during an argument with a male, he pulled out a steel pipe in a threatening manner.  Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing 1 count of Assault with a Weapon and 1 count of Weapons Dangerous.  He was released to appear in court on the 14th of July, 2011 to answer to the charges.

 

 

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, Ont. – A 46 year-old Cornwall female was arrested on the 30th of June, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation.  It is alleged that during an argument with her 42 year-old common-law spouse, she threatened her with a knife.  Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the female facing 1 count of Assault with a weapon.  She was released to appear in court on the 14th of July, 2011 to answer to the charge.  Her name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

 

 

BREACH OF PROBATION

Cornwall, Ont. – An 18 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 01st of July, 2011 for breaching his conditions.  He was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to not have any contact with persons known to him to have a criminal record.  On the arrest date, it is alleged that he was operating a motor vehicle in the east end of the city with another male passenger.  During a routine traffic stop, it was learned that the passenger had a criminal record.   Subsequently, the male was arrested for 1 count of Breach of Probation and released to appear in court on the 21st of July, 2011.  His name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

 

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE

Cornwall, Ont. – Edgar Roger Joseph Ethier, 62, of Cornwall was arrested on the 01st of July, 2011 for breaching his conditions.  He was bound by a Recognizance Order with a condition to Abstain from the consumption of alcohol or being found where alcohol is served except for restaurants and to Notify the Cornwall Police of any change of address.  Police allege that the male was located seated at a picnic table inside the beer garden area of Lamoureux Park during the Canada Day celebration.  He was arrested for 1 count of Breach of Recognizance and transported to police headquarters.  Further investigation revealed that the male had failed to notify police of his change of address.  He was advised that he would be facing a further charge of Breach of Recognizance.  He was held in custody until court.

 

 

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE and BREACH OF PROBATION

Cornwall, Ont. – A 16 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 01st of July, 2011 for breaching his conditions.  He was bound by a Recognizance Order with a condition to Not be away from his residence unless accompanied by a parent or grand-parent.  He was further bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.  On the 26th of June, 2011 it is alleged that the youth left his residence unaccompanied by a relative and failed to return.  Police were contacted and an investigation commenced.  On July 1st, the youth was located amongst peers at the Canada Day celebration by a member of Community Patrol.  He was arrested for 1 count of Breach of Recognizance and 1 count of Breach of Probation.  He was held in custody until court.  His name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

 

BREACH OF PROHIBITION ORDER

Cornwall, Ont. – Serge Joseph Lebrun, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on the 01st of July, 2011 for breaching his condition.  On the 29th of March 2001 he was bound by a lifetime Prohibition Order with a condition to Abstain from attending any park or public swimming area where persons under the age of 14 years are present or can be reasonably expected to be present.  Police allege that the male was located at Lamoureux Park during the Canada Day celebration.  Subsequently, the male was arrested for 1 count of Breach of Prohibition Order and he was released to appear in court on the 26th of July, 2011 to answer to the charge.

 

 

 

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE

Cornwall, Ont. – A 17 year-old Cornwall male was arrested in the early hours of July 2nd, 2011 for breaching his conditions.  He was bound by a Recognizance Order with a condition to Not be away from his residence unless accompanied by his surety or for work and school purposes.  It is alleged that the male was located walking unaccompanied in the east end of the city by a member of Community Patrol.  A check by the officer uncovered that the male was breaching his condition.  He was arrested for 1 count of Breach of Recognizance and held in custody until court.   His name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

 

BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred sometime between 11:30 pm on the 30th of July and 09:30 am the following morning at a First Street East apartment.  The suspect(s) gained entry through an open window.  Once inside, the suspect(s) stole canned goods and frozen meat, over-the counter medication and a radio.  If you have any information regarding this break and enter, please contact the Service at (613) 932-2110.

 

 

POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY

Cornwall, Ont. – A 14 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 02nd of July, 2011 following a theft investigation.  It is alleged that the young person stole a bicycle from another youth by the RCAF wing.  Police located the bicycle and arrested the young person with 1 count of Possession of Stolen Property.  He was released to the custody of a relative and is scheduled for court at a later date.  His name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

 

BREACH OF UNDERTAKING

Cornwall, Ont. – A 17 year-old Cornwall male was arrested in the early hours of July 3rd, 2011 for breaching his conditions.  He was bound by an Undertaking Order with a curfew condition.  Police allege that they located the young person on the bicycle path after curfew.  The young person was arrested for 1 count of Breach of Undertaking and released to the custody of a responsible adult.  He is scheduled for court on the 21st of July, 2011 to answer to the charge. His name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

 

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, Ont. – A 21 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 03rd of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation. It is alleged that during an argument with his 22 year-old common-law spouse, he threw a plastic bottle at her.  The female required medical attention for the injury.  Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing 1 count of Assault with a Weapon. He was released to appear in court on the 26th of July, 2011 to answer to the charge.  His name is withheld as it may identify the victim in this incident.

Cornwall, Ont. – A 43 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 03rd of J July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation. It is alleged that during an argument with his 50 year-old wife, he threw a beer bottle at her.  Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing 1 count of Assault with a Weapon. He was held for court on the 04th of July, 2011.  His name is withheld as it may identify the victim in this incident.
