“As we strive to provide solid, professional law enforcement in today’s environment, we owe it to the people we serve to work cooperatively,” said OPP Commissioner Chris Lewis“Partnerships at all levels are vital as no one agency can do it alone. The results of Project Cinderford are a shining example that working together in an integrated and intelligence-led approach keeps our communities safe.”

“These arrests demonstrate Canada’s resolve to root out threats to our communities and prosecute criminals and organized crime members through a fair and open judicial process,” stated Assistant Commissioner Stephen White, the Commanding Officer for the RCMP in Ontario.  “The development of multi-disciplinary teams contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of law enforcement efforts”.

“Our residents need to know that we are doing everything we can to keep them safe and their property secure,” said Chief Dan Parkinson, Cornwall Community Police Service. “I congratulate all our officers for a job well done. This is an important day for Cornwall, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry and the united front that our law enforcement partnership has demonstrated in executing this project.”

“There is no question that working in partnership to combat trans-border criminal activity significantly contributes to keeping our communities safe,” said Denis R. Vinette, Northern Ontario Regional Director General for the Canada Border Services Agency.
