Cornwall ON –  Here is your police blotter for Monday August 8, 2011 for the Cornwall area.

 

BREAK AND ENTER INVESTIGATION

 

            Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is requesting the assistance of the community in identifying the individuals involved in a Break and Enter that took place on the 6th of August, 2011 shortly prior to 9:00 p.m. at a Sydney Street School.

 

It is alleged that the suspects attended Cornwall Collegiate Vocational School located at 437 Sydney Street and gained entry. It is unknown at this time if any property was stolen. The incident is currently under Police investigation.

 

Police are releasing the following surveillance photos of the suspects.

RESIST ARREST & BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- Paul Henhawk, 46 of Brantford Ontario was arrested on the 7th of August, 2011. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.  It is alleged that on the 7th of August, 2011 shortly prior to  7: 30 p.m. members of the Cornwall Community Police Service were requested to assist the Brockville Police Service in relation to a robbery that took place in their jurisdiction. Police located the male at which time he provided a false name and resisted arrest by pulling away from police. He was charged with Obstruct police, Resist Arrest and Breach of Probation Order. He was issued an appearance Notice to appear in court on the 13th of September, 2011 and turned over to the Brockville Police Service.

 

BREAK & ENTER

 

Cornwall, ON – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on the 7th of August, 2011  at a York Street residence. The suspect(s) gained entry by forcing open the back door and proceeded to steal a gold box chain with a broken clasp, a Diamond DVD player, a jar of assorted change and prescription Fentanyl patches and pills. OBSTRUCT POLICE & BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE

 

            Cornwall, ON- Shane Edward Leblanc, 36 of Cornwall was arrested on the 3rd of August, 2011. He was bound by a Recognizance with the relevant conditions not to associate or communicate directly or indirectly with certain female or be within 100 meters of her or anyplace she may be found and not to attend a certain Cornwall address. It is alleged that on the 3rd of August, 2011, he attended the said address and was located with the female by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. Upon his arrested he obstructed police. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance and Obstruct Police. He was held in custody until court the following day.

 

DRIVE WHILE DISQUALIFIED

 

            Cornwall, ON- Scott Debellefeuille, 41 of Cornwall was arrested on the 4th of August, 2011 during a routine traffic stop. It is alleged that he had been convicted of Impaired Driving and as a result was disqualified from driving. He was charged with Drive Disqualified and released to appear in court on the 27th of September, 2011 to answer to the charge.

 

WARRANT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Kellen Michael Sunday, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on the 5th of August, 2011 under the strength of outstanding Warrants. It is alleged that on the 30th of June, 2011 and on the 6th of July, 2011, Warrants were sought for failing to attend court. He was located and arrested. He was released to appear in court on the 23rd of August, 2011 to answer to the charges.

 

Cornwall, ON- Shawna Mitchell, 32 of Cornwall was arrested on the 6th of August, 2011 under the strength of outstanding Warrants. It is alleged that the warrants were sought on the 23rd of June, 2009 one of which was a Committal Warrant. She was arrested by the Canadian Boarder Service Agency and turned over to the Cornwall Community Police Service. She was held in custody and will appear in court at a later time.

 

THEFT & BREACH OF PROBATION ORDER

 

            Cornwall, ON- Christopher Bruce Cameron, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on the 6th of August, 2011. He was bound by Probation Order with the relevant condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 28th of July, 2011 he stole a Mac Air Laptop and an Apple IPod. He was charged with Theft Under $5000.00 and Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear on the 23rd of August, 2011 to answer to the charges.

 

BREACHES

 

Cornwall, ON- Jerry Joseph Paquin, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on the 6th of August, 2011. He was bound by a Recognizance with the relevant conditions to live at an Ottawa address and notify the Ottawa Police Service, 24 hours prior to and in writing of any change of address, Abstain from the consumption of alcohol absolutely and not be away from your place of residence between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7 a.m. It is alleged that on the 6th of August, 2011 shortly after 1:00 a.m. he was located at a Pitt Street establishment while being intoxicated. Police were contacted and he was charged with 3 counts of Breach of Recognizance. He was held in custody until court the following day.

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 5th of August, 2011. The youth was bound by a Recognizance to reside at a certain address and and abide by the rules of the residence and also a curfew to be at that residence between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. The youth was also bound by an Undertaking with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The youth was bound by a Probation Order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and abide by a curfew as set by her probation officer. It is alleged that on the 5th of August, 2011, the youth left the residence and failed to returned. Police were contacted and the youth was located. The youth was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance, 1 count of breach of Undertaking and 3 counts of Breach of Probation Order. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youths name is not being released due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON- Marie Rose Doiron, 45 of Cornwall was arrested on the 6th of August, 2011. She was bound by a Recognizance with the relevant conditions to Not to associate or communicate directly or indirectly with a certain male, Not to attend a certain address, Not to be away from residence between 8:00pm and 6:00am and abstain from consumption of alcohol except within your residence. She was also bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 6th of August, 2011 at approximately 10:00 p.m. she was located at the said address by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service while being intoxicated. She was charged with 4 counts of breach of Recognizance and breach of Probation Order. She was held in custody until court the following day.

IMPAIRED DRIVING & OVER .80

 

            Cornwall, ON- John Van-Sleeuwen, 49 of Willianstown was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and Over .80. It is alleged that on the 6th of August, 2011 at approximately 2:30 a.m. while on general patrol a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division observed the motor vehicle to be traveling at a slow rate of speed and swaying from the center line to the curb. A traffic stop was conducted that the driver was charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on the 23rd of August, 2011.

 

Cornwall, ON- Alex James Sinnott, 19 of Cornwall was arrested and charged with Over .80. It is alleged that on the 6th of August, 2011 shortly before 3:00 a.m. a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service patrol Division observed a motor vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on the 23rd of August, 2011.

 

Cornwall, ON- Donald Duperron, 59 of Cornwall was arrested and charged with Over .80. It is alleged that on the 6th of August, 2011 shortly after 11:30 a.m. police were called to the area of Third Street East and Pitt Street in reference to a possible impaired driver. The male was located and charged accordingly. HE was released to appear in court on the 23rd of August, 2011.

 

SEXAULT ASSAULT

 

              Cornwall, ON- On the 6th of August, 2011, a Cornwall man was arrested and charged with sexual interference and 2 counts of sexual assault on two females following an investigation by the Cornwall Community Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Division.

 

The offences are alleged to have occurred on the 27th of July, 2011 and the 5th of August, 2011. The man is alleged to have sexually assaulted a female stranger near Legion Park and another female youth near the Rotary Lane. The victims did not require any medical treatment.

 

Matthew Sebastien Langlois, 23 of Cornwall was charged and held in custody until court the following day.

 

BREACHES AND DRUGS

 

            Cornwall, ON- An 18 year-old Cornwall youth male was arrested on the 6th of August, 2011. The male was bound by a Probation Order with the relevant conditions to abstain from the purchase/possession of drugs, obey curfew 9:00 pm to 6 am and keep the peace & be of good behaviour. He was also bound by a YJCA Probation with the relevant condition to keep the peace & be of good behaviour and not to have any contact with anyone known to you to have a criminal record or youth court record. He was bound Undertaking with the relevant condition to keep the peace & be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 16th of July, 2011 at 11:00 p.m. the male was located by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division to have in his possession a green leafy substance, believed to be marihuana. The male was charged with 3 counts of Breach of Probation Order, 2 counts of YCJA Probation Order, Breach of Undertaking and Possession of a controlled substance. He was released to appear in court on the 23rd of August, 2011.

 

THEFT

 

            Cornwall, ON- On the 7th of August, 2011 at approximately 1:30 a.m. members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division attended the area of Twelfth Street in reference to theft from motor vehicles.  Two 17 year-old male youths and an 18 year-old male were arrested and charged with Theft Under $5000.00.  They were released to appear in court on the 15th of September, 2011 and the 27thof September, 2011 to answer to the charges. Their names were not released due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

BREAK & ENTER

 

Cornwall, ON – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred in the last month at a Fifth Street East address. The suspect(s) gained entry to a fifth wheel trailer by an unlocked and proceeded to steal a 15”  RCA television with an oak tray. Search Warrant Executed At Morrisburg Residence

(Dundas County, United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, ON) – On Wednesday the 3rd of August, 2011 members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit – Project Paradigm, OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and members of the SD&G O.P.P. detachment executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (C.D.S.A.) warrant at 66 B High Street, Village of Morrisburg, Ontario.

The following seizures were made:

  • 2 suspected Oxy Contin pills

  • 16 grams of cannabis marihuana bud

  • Drug trafficking paraphernalia

  • Canadian currency

The potential street value of the seized drugs is estimated at approximately $200

Two adults were arrested and subsequently charged:

Corey FORGUES and Lisa MONTROY,  both 34 years, were arrested at scene and transported to the Morrisburg OPP Detachment where they were later released on a Promise to Appear and Officer-In-Charge Undertaking. FORGUES and MONTROY are scheduled to appear on 6th of September, 2011 at the Morrisburg Provincial Courthouse.

FORGUES and MONTROY are charged with the following offences:

  1. Possession of Schedule I Oxy Contin
  2. Possession of Cannabis Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking
