FRAUD

 

            Cornwall, ON- Todd Harold Lamothe, 43 of Ottawa was arrested on the 14th of September, 2011. It is alleged that between August 1st, 2010 and March 31st, 2011 he failed to notify Ontario Works of his change of income, assets or living arrangements. Police were contacted and an investigation followed by the Cornwall Community Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch. He was charged with Fraud Under $5000.00 and released to appear in count on the 27th of September, 2011 to answer to the charge.


 

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT & BREACH OF PROBATION

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 26 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 14th of September, 2011. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 13th of September, 2011 he without lawful authority watched the dwelling-house of his 25 year-old ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Criminal Harassment and Breach of Probation. He was held in custody until court later that day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

THEFT & BREACH OF PROBATION

 

            Cornwall, ON- Brian Colborne, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on the 14th of September, 2011. He was bound be a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 14th of September, 2011 he attended a Water Street store and stole merchandise. He was detained by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer and turned over to the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was charged with Theft under $5000.00 and Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on the 15th of November, 2011 to answer to the charge.

 

BREAK & ENTER ARREST

 

            Cornwall, ON- Kevin Michael Simser, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on the 14th of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 25th of August, 2011 he committed a break and enter at a St. Felix Street residence and stole items. Police were contacted and an investigation followed by the Cornwall Community Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch. He was charged with Break and Enter and released to appear in court on the 27th of September, 2011 to answer to the charge.

 

BREACH OF PROBATION ORDER

            Cornwall, ON- A 46 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 14th of September, 2011. He was bound by two separate Probation Orders with the conditions of Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour, not attend within 50 meters of his 51 year-old ex-girlfriends residence and to notify the court or probation officer of any change of address. It is alleged that on the 14th of September, 2011 he was seen riding a bike in front of his ex-girlfriends residence. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 3 counts of Breach of Probation and held in custody until court the followed day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

WARRANT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 16 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 14th of September, 2011 under the strength of a Probation Warrant. It is alleged that the youth failed to comply with his Probation Order conditions and a warrant was sought. The youth was located and held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
