DOMESTIC BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 32 year-old Ingleside man was arrested on the 20th of January, 2012. He was bound by a recognizance with the relevant condition to not to associate or communicate directly or indirectly with 23 year-old ex-girlfriend. It is alleged that on the 18th of January, 2012 he attempted to have contact with his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with breach of recognizance and held in custody until court later that day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

Cornwall, ON- A 31 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 21st of January, 2012. He was bound by a undertaking with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. It is alleged that on the 21st of January, 2012 he attended his 28 year-old ex-girlfriend when he threaten her. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with domestic breach and utter threat. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 20th of January, 2012. She was bound by a recognizance with the relevant conditions to attend school without truancy and actively participate and to follow counseling as directed by your social workers. She was also bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to attend for counseling as directed by your youth worker. It is alleged that on the 20th of January, 2012 she was refusing to participate in school and counseling. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with 2 counts of breach of recognizance and 2 counts of breach of probation. She was held in custody until court on the 23rd of January, 2012. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON- Philip Collins, 48 of Cornwall was arrested on the 20th of January, 2012. He was bound by a Undertaking with the relevant conditions to abide by a curfew of 9pm-6am and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 19th of January, 2012 at 5:00 a.m. he was observed by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division to be away from his residence. He was charged with 2 counts of breach of undertaking and released to appear in court on the 7th of February, 2012.

Cornwall, ON- Christopher Degonzaque, 38 of Akwesasne was arrested on the 20th of January, 2012. He was bound by a probation order with the pertinent condition to abstain from possession and consumption of alcohol and keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 20th of January, 2012 he was found to be in the possession of alcohol. He was charged with 2 counts of breach of probation order. He was released to appear in court on the 7th of February, 2012.

Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 20th of January, 2012. He was bound by 4 separate youth probation order with the conditions of to abide by the following condition: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to reside at an address approved by the Youth Worker and be amenable to the routine and discipline at such place. It is alleged that on the 19th of January, 2012 he attended a 32 year-old acquaintance residence and removed property. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of breach of youth probation order. His name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON- A 19 year-old Cornwall Long Sault was arrested on the 22nd of January, 2012. He was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was also bound by a Youth Criminal Justice Act probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, abide by a curfew of 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and to abstain from the use of alcohol. It is alleged that on the 22nd of January, 2012 shortly after 2:30 a.m. he was found to be under the influence of alcohol and away from his residence by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was charged with breach of probation and 3 counts of breach of Youth Criminal Justice Act probation order. He was released to appear in court on the 6th of March, 2012 to answer to the charges. His name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

THEFT & BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- Rebecca Dillabaugh, 31 of Cornwall was arrested on the 21st of January, 2012. She was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. It is alleged that on the 21st of January, 2012 she attended a Water Street store and removed property without making any attempt to pay. She was detained by the store’s lost prevention officer and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. She was charged with theft under $5000.00 and breach of probation order. She was released to appear in court on the 14th of February, 2012.

ASSAULT

            Cornwall, ON- Angus MacDonald, 71 was arrested on the 21st of January, 2012. It is alleged that on the 21st of January, 2012 he attended a First Street restaurant and got into an altercation with two 41 year-old staff members when he assaulted them. The victims were not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of assault and released to appear in court on the 21st of February, 2012 to answer to the charges.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT & MISCHIEF

            Cornwall, ON- A 61 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 22nd of January, 2012. It is alleged that on the 22nd of January, 2012 he attended a Second Street establishment and got into an altercation with his 48 year-old common-law wife when he assaulted her and caused damage to the establishment. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of mischief under $5000.00 and domestic assault. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE


(South Dundas) – On 22Jan12, at approximately 8:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on County Road 28, South Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that a male and his 53yr old common-law wife were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the female assaulting the male.

She was arrested and faces a charge of:

  • Assault

She is scheduled to appear 31Jan12 in Cornwall court.

(North Dundas) – On 22Jan12, at approximately 6:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on County Road 31, North Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that a male and his girlfriend were involved in a verbal altercation; further investigation found that the 44yr old female was breaching her probation.

She was arrested and faces charges of:

  • Breach of Probation Order x2

She was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court

(North Glengarry) – On 20Jan12, at approximately 5:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Derby St. Alexandria On.

The investigation revealed that a male and his girlfriend were involved in a verbal altercation; the male disclosed to police that there had been a previous assault where the 34yr old female had brandished a weapon.

The female was arrested and faces charges of:

  • Assault
  • Fail to Comply – Undertaking before Officer in Charge
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Breach of Probation Order

She is scheduled to appear 28Feb12 in Cornwall court.
