ASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM, OBSTRUCT & MISCHIEF

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 16 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on May 1st, 2012. It is alleged that on the 1st of May, 2012 the youth attended a Water Street store where he was trespassed a month prior. The store security approached the youth when he was assaulted. The youth also caused damaged to a wall. The victim required medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with assault caused bodily harm, mischief and obstruct. The youth was released to an adult to appear in court on the 17th of May, 2012. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Warrant

 

Cornwall, ON- Damian MacDermid, 24 of Maxville was arrested on the 30th of April 2012 on the strength of an outstanding warrant. He was bound by the conditions of a Recognizance with the relevant conditions to reside with surety and not be away from the residence except in the company of his surety. It is alleged that on the 8th of March 2012 he breached his conditions by being in Cornwall without his surety. As a result an investigation ensued and a warrant for his arrest was issued. On 30 April 2012 he was in court on an unrelated matter and was arrested on the outstanding warrant and held to appear in court that day.

 

Cornwall, ON- Yvonne McMillan, 47 of Cornwall was arrested on the 30th of April 2012. She was bound by the provisions of an undertaking with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. She was further bound by the provisions of a Recognizance with the relevant condition to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. It is alleged that on the 30th of April police attended a Cornwall residence on an unrelated matter and observed the female to be under the influence of alcohol. As a result she was charged with two counts of breach of undertaking and one count of breach or Recognizance. She was held in custody to appear in court the following day.

 

Cornwall, ON- A 21 year old Cornwall female was arrested on the 30th of April 2012. She was bound by the provisions of a probation order with the relevant conditions to not associate directly or indirectly with a certain individual and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 30th of April she was observed by police to be in the company of the named individual and as a result was charged with two counts of breach of probation and released to appear in court on the 5th of June 2012. Her name was not released as it may identify the victim in the original incident.

 

 

Break and Enter

 

Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter that occurred on the 30th of April 2012 at a Cotton Mill Road Business. It is believed that culprit(s) gained entry into the building by cutting a pad lock on a basement door. It does not appear if anything was taken during the incident.
