DOMESTIC ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 45-year-old Cornwall female was arrested on June 6th, 2012. She was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to not to associate, contact or hold any communication directly or indirectly with her 47-year-old ex-boyfriend and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on June 6th, 2012. She approached her ex-boyfriend and assaulted him. He did not suffer any injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Domestic Assault and 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

ASSAULT WITH EAPON & THREATS

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 6th, 2012. It is alleged that on June 6th, 2012 the youth got into an altercation with her 35-year-old mother when the youth threw a brush and box at her and uttered a death threat. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with 2 counts of Assault with a weapon and Utter Death Threats. The youth was released to an adult to appear in court on June 28th, 2012. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 6th, 2012. It is alleged that on June 6th, 2012 the youth got into an altercation with another 16-year-old youth and assaulted her. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with Assault and released to an adult to appear in court on June 28th, 2012. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

DOMESTIC CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 21-year-old Ottawa man was arrested on June 5th, 2012. It is alleged that between February 2012 and May 2012 he continuously contacted his 21-year-old ex-common-law wife. It was also alleged that between May 13th and May 30th, 2012 he attended her previous residence. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of Criminal Harassment and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

 

THEFT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Cody Lacelle, 19 of Cornwall and a 16-year-old Cornwall youth were arrested on June 5th, 2012. It is alleged that they attended a Ninth Street business and removed property without making any attempt to pay for the item. They were detained by the store’s Lost Prevention Officer and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. They were both charged with Theft under $5000. The 16-year-old youth was released to an adult to appear in court on July 12th, 2012 while the male was released to appear on July 17th, 2012. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

PERSONATION & BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- A 12-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 5th, 2012. The youth was bound by Undertaking with the relevant condition of not to be away from your residence between the hours of 7pm and 7am except when accompanied by specific adults. It is alleged that June 5th, 2012, shortly after 8:00 p.m. the youth provided a false name to police, Further investigation revealed the youth’s true identity. The youth was charged with Personation and Breach of Undertaking. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Marcus Vezina, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on June 4th, 2012. It is alleged that on the May 22nd, 2012 he failed to attend court and a bench warrant was issued. He was held in custody until court later that day.

 

WARRANT, BREACHES & DRUGS

 

Cornwall, ON- Paul Kameka, 33 of Cornwall was arrested on June 4th, 2012. He was bound by two Undertakings with the conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on April 2nd, 2012 as well as May 22nd, 2012 he failed to attend court and bench warrants were sought. Upon his arrest, he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance believed to be marijuana. He was charged with 2 counts of breach of Undertaking and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was released to appear in court on July 3rd, 2012.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT & ASSAULT WITH WEAPON

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 4th, 2012. He was bound by two Undertakings with the conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on June 4th, 2012 he got into an altercation with his 23-year-old common-law wife when he assaulted her and threw a cell phone at her. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault, Assault with a Weapon and 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

DRUGS SEIZED AT TRAFFIC STOP

 

(South Stormont) – On June 06, 2012 at approximately 3:00pm, an OPP Highway Safety Division (HSD) officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 401, South Stormont Township. The stop resulted in a quantity (small) of suspected marihuana located and seized from the vehicle’s passenger.

Daniel WYLIE (18) of Scarborough ON, was arrested and is charged with;

      • Possession of a Controlled Substance

He is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on July 24, 2012.

DOMESTIC SITUATION RESULTS IN CHARGES

 

(South Glengarry) – On June 06, 2012 SD&G OPP began an investigation into a domestic situation at a residence in South Glengarry Township. A verbal altercation between a male and his ex-spouse resulted in further information being revealed of 3 additional incidents which had occurred in 2011, alleging the female had been assaulted and threatened by the male. In the third incident, he caused damage to furniture in the residence.

As a result, the 36year old male from South Glengarry was arrested and is charged with;

      • Assault
      • Mischief
      • Utter Threats

 

He is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on July 10, 2012.

BREAK-IN/THEFT

 

(South Dundas) – Overnight June 05-06, 2012, a shed was forcibly entered at a property on Haddo Road, South Dundas Township. Inside 5 chainsaws (4 Stihl, 1 Husqvarna), a welder unit (Lincoln) and assorted tools were removed.

An investigation continues.

MISCHIEF

(South Dundas) – On 05Jun12, at approximately 1:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a mischief on Second St. Morrisburg On.

The investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) attended the public school and smashed a window on the east side.

The investigation is ongoing.

RECOVERED STOLEN VEHCILE

(South Glengarry) – On 05Jun12, at approximately 1:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Boundary Road, South Glengarry Township.

The investigation revealed that the vehicle (2004 Ford F350) had been reported stolen from Montreal, QC.

The investigation is ongoing.
