OPP Lay Murder Charges in St. Isidore Ontario Homicide of 24 Year Old Joey Faubert – July 3, 2012

CFN – On June 30, 2012 at approximately 11:25am, members of the Hawkesbury detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a 911 call on De L’ecole Street, St. Isidore. Officers located 24-year-old Joey FAUBERT deceased outside on property belonging to the French Catholic Elementary School in St. Isidore.

A post mortem conducted on Monday, July 2, 2012 in Ottawa confirmed that foul play was involved. The cause of death is not being released at this time.

The Hawkesbury OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of OPP Detective Inspector Dan Nadeau, Criminal Investigation Branch, have arrested and charged:

1) Martin LAMOUREUX, 18 of St. Isidore, with Second Degree Murder and Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence. He was held and remanded into custody on Sunday, July 1, 2012 to appear in Ontario Provincial Court, L’orignal on July 3, 2012.

2) A 20-year-old Ottawa area man with First Degree Murder and Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence. He is being held in custody to appear in Ontario Provincial Court, L’orignal on July 3, 2012.

3) A 19-year-old Ottawa man with First Degree Murder and Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence. He is being held in custody to appear in Ontario Provincial Court, L’orignal on July 3, 2012.

4) An 18-year-old woman from North Stormont with Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence. She was released on a Promise to Appear and Officer Undertaking with conditions to appear in Ontario Court of Justice, L’orignal on August 1, 2012.

5) A 16-year-old female young person from North Stormont with Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence. She was released on a Promise to Appear and Officer Undertaking with conditions to appear in Ontario Court of Justice, L’orignal on August 1, 2012.

The 18-year-old’s name is not being released as it may identify the 16-year-old young person who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

The names of the two Ottawa men will be released tomorrow when the Information is filed before the courts.

  1. Unfortunately, people don’t think before acting out their drama. How many lives have been ruined now? One thing for sure, if you do the crime then you’ll do the time! It can’t be any other way!

  3. How does one define justice? The Faubert family were violently victimized by having a loved member of their family murdered. I do business with the Faubert family. My baby daughter attends that St. Isidore school. A gang killing in our small rural community is extremely heartbreaking for our whole community. We live in peace and our peace has been destroyed. Not only is the Faubert family victimized, our community is victimized. We want restitution but we must accept justice.
