FRAUD

 

            Cornwall, ON- Melanie St.Louis, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on July 13th, 2012. It is alleged that between September 2011 and January 2012, she failed to comply with the regulations of the Ontario Works Directives. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Fraud under $5000.00 and released to appear in court on August 28th, 2012.

 

THEFT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Brian McNicholl, 53 of Cornwall was arrested on July 13th, 2012. It is alleged that he attended a Brookdale Avenue store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for the items. He was detained by the store’s Lost Prevention Officer and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was charged with Theft under $5000.00. He was released to appear in court on August 16th, 2012.

 

CARE & CONTROL

 

            Cornwall, ON- Stanley Thompson, 52, of Akwesasne was arrested prior to 10:00 p.m. on July 13th, 2012. It is alleged that he was found in a motor vehicle on Pitt Street while under the influence of alcohol. The male was arrested for Care & Control and transported for further testing which resulted in a charge of Over .80. He was released to appear in court on the August of 24th, 2012.

 

BREACHES

 

Cornwall, ON- A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 14th, 2012. He was bound by a Youth Probation Orders with the relevant conditions to abide by curfew of 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for the first 6 months except as permitted by youth worker, to abstain from the use of alcohol and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on July 14th, 2012 shortly after 2:30 a.m. he was found under the influence of alcohol by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was charged with 3 counts of Breach of Probation Order and released to appear in court on August 14th, 2012. His name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

Cornwall, ON- A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 14th, 2012. The youth was bound by a Recognizance with the relevant condition to not be away from the residence between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. It is alleged that between July 13th, 2012 and July 14th, 2012 she left the residence during the night. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance and held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

Cornwall, ON- Christopher St.Andre, 43 of Cornwall was arrested on July 14th, 2012. He was bound by an Undertaking and a Recognizance with the condition to abstain from consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances. He was also bound by a Probation Order with the condition of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on July 14th, 2012 he was found consuming alcohol by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance, Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court the following day.

 

Cornwall, ON- A 17-year-ol Akwesasne youth was arrested on July 16th, 2012. The youth was bound by an Undertaking with the relevant conditions to abide by curfew, remaining in your residence from 10pm to 6am daily and keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that shortly prior to 11:00 p.m. on July 15th, 2012 the youth was located in a motor vehicle while attending the Canadian Border Service Agency. The youth was detained at customs and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. The youth was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking and  released to appear in court on August 9th, 2012. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

DOMESTIC BREACH

            Cornwall, ON- A 52-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 14th, 2012. He was bound by a Recognizance with the condition of not to associate or communicate directly or indirectly with his 46-year-old wifei and not to go within 100 meters of her place of residence, employment or any place she may be at – No Exceptions. It is alleged that during the month of June 2012 he had contact with his 46-year-old wife. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, MISCHIEF & THREATS

 

Cornwall, ON- A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 14th, 2012. It is alleged that on July 14th, 2012 he got into an altercation with his 31-year-old girlfriend when he assaulted her, threaten to cause damage to property and caused damage to property. The victim did not require medical attention. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault, Mischief under $5000.00 and Utter Threats to Damage property. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it may identify the victim.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, THEFT & BREACH

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 41-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 15th, 2012. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition of Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on July 15th,2012 he got into an altercation with his 47-year-old girlfriend when he assaulted her and removed her cell phone from her. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault, Theft under $5000.00 and Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court the following day. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it may identify the victim in this matter.

 

ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, TRESPASS BY NIGHT & BREACH

Cornwall, ON- A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 15th, 2012. The youth was bound by a Probation Order with the condition of not to possession any firearms, cross-bow or weapons. It is alleged that on July 15th, 2012 shortly after 11:30 p.m. the youth was observed in the back yard of a 32-year-old victim’s residence. The male victim attempted to stop the youth at which time was shown the weapon later identified as BB gun. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was located and charged with Assault with a weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous purpose, Possession of firearm while prohibited and Trespass by Night. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youths name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

MISCHIEF

 

            Cornwall, ON- Darren MacNeil, 40 of Cornwall was arrested on July 16th, 2012. It is alleged that on July 16th, 2012 he threw a rock at a motor vehicle and caused damage. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Mischief under $5000.00 and released to appear in court on July 16th, 2012.

 

BREAK & ENTER

           

Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter that occurred between July 13th and July 14th , 2012 at a Marlborough Street business. It is alleged that the suspect(s) gained entry by an unlocked window and removed a cash register and tip jar containing an undisclosed amount of money.. Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter that occurred between July 14th and July 15th , 2012 at a Sydney Street business. It is alleged that the suspect(s) gained entry, removed an undisclosed amount of money and caused damage. A motor vehicle parked in the parking lot was also vandalized. It is alleged that the suspect(s) gained entry by forcing open a door, gained access to a balcony and removed a Sportec Bicycle. THREATS & BREACH

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 12th, 2012. The youth was bound by an Undertaking with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on July 7th, 2012 the youth uttered a threat to a 42-year-old male to cause damage to property. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with Utter Threat and Fail to comply with Undertaking. The youth was released to appear in court on August 9th, 2012. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

IMPAIRED OPERATION, DRUGS & BREACHES

Cornwall, ON- Sean Levac, 33 of Cornwall was arrested on July 12th, 2012. He was bound by Probation Order with the condition to keep the peace & be of good behaviour, abstain from the purchase/consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances and abstain from the possession/consumption of non prescribed drugs. It is alleged that on July 12th, 2012 he was found to be in a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and in possession of a controlled substance believed to be marijuana. He was charged with Impaired Operation, Possession of a controlled substance and 3 counts of Breach of Probation Order. Further testing resulted in a charge of Over .80. He was released to appear in court on July 24th, 2012.

BREAK & ENTER

           

Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter that occurred on June 8th, 2012 and June 9th, 2012 at a Third Street West residence. It is alleged that the suspect(s) gained entry by an unlocked door and removed a purse containing personal identification and documents as well as a gold bracelet. BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- Robert Brennan 30 of Cornwall was arrested on July 11th, 2012. He was bound by a Undertaking with relevant condition of Keep the Peace and be of good behaviour, and not to have in his possession any glue or any similar solvent type of intoxicating substances. He was also bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on July 5th, 2012 he was observed by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service to be in possession of glue. He was charged with 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on August 7th, 2012.

Cornwall, ON- Dennis Brian Gowan, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on July 12th, 2012. He was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions include not to associate with persons known to have a criminal record save immediately family, not to associate with anyone known to use or deal drugs and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that during the early hours of July 12th, 2012, he was found by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division to be in the company of three individuals known to use or deal drugs. He was charged with 3 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and released to appear in court on August 7th, 2012.

WARRANT & BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- Steven Flaro, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on July 11th, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. He was bound by Undertaking with the relevant condition of notify the Cornwall Police Service in writing within 24 hours of any change in my address, employment or occupation and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on June 26th, 2012 he failed to attend court on June 26th, 2012. Upon his arrest investigation revealed that he failed to notify the Cornwall Community Police Service of a change of address. He was charged with Fail to Comply with Undertaking and held in custody until court the following day.
