168KM in 80 KM zone – Police Blotter for the Cornwall Ontario Area for Thursday October 4, 2012

DRUG SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTED

 

            Cornwall, ON- Members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit with assistance of members of the OPP Drug Enforcement Section executed a drug search warrant shortly prior to 3:30 pm on October 3rd, 2012 at a Adolphus Street residence. AS a result of the investigation two men were arrested and charged with 15 drug and criminal code related charges when they were allegedly found to be in possession of controlled substances. Police seized a quantity of substance believed to be Hydromorphone, OxyNeo, Fentanyl, Marijuana and Suboxone. The total value of seized drugs and property is estimated at $20,750.00.

Alcide Ceasor, 49 of Cornwall was bound by Probation Order with the relevant conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and abstain from the purchase or possession of drugs except in accordance with a medical prescription. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order, 2 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, 2 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. He was held in custody until court the following day.

Calvin Ceasor, 24 of Cornwall was bound by a Probation Order and an Undertaking with the conditions of Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. He was charged with 2 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court the following day.

 

BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on October 3rd, 2012. The youth was bound by a Recognizance with the relevant conditions to reside at a certain address in the City of Cornwall and abide by the rules of that residence, Not to be away from my residence between the hours of 9PM until 7AM save and except with one of either parents. The youth was also bound by a Probation Order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on October 1st, 2012 the youth left the residence and failed to return prior to his curfew. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with Breach of Probation Order and Fail to Comply with Recognizance. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON- ! 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on October 3rd, 2012. The youth was bound by a Probation Order with the pertinent conditions to abide by a curfew of 8:30 pm to 6:00 am, and to keep the peace & be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on October 3rd, 2012 the youth left the residence and failed to return prior to her curfew. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and released to an adult to appear in court on October 18th, 2012. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON- A 22-year-old Cornwall female was arrested on October 4th, 2012. She was bound by a Recognizance of Bail with the relevant conditions to not associate or communicate directly or indirectly with a 30-year-old male and not to attend within 100 meters of his place of residence, employment or any place he may be at and to not attend Lefebvre Street in the City of Cornwall. It is alleged that on October 1st, 2012, she was observed leaving his residence. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance. She was held in custody until court the following day. Her name was not released as it would identify the male.

BREAK & ENTER

Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service are currently investigating a Break & Enter that occurred between October 1st, 2012 and October 2nd, 2012 at an Arthur Street residence. BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- Corey Helliker, 26 of Alexandria was arrested on October 2nd, 2012. He was bound by a Recognizance with the relevant condition to report in person to the John Howard Bail Supervision Program and thereafter as directed by your bail supervisor. He was also bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on September 11th, 2012 he failed to attend for a schedule appointment as well as September 20th, 2012. He turned himself to police and was charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance and Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court the following day.

 

THEFT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Shawn Nesbitt, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on October 2nd, 2012. It is alleged that on October 2nd, 2012 he removed a 72-year-old woman’s purse from a shopping cart and attempted to flee. He was detained by an off-duty police officer and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was charged with Theft under and released to appear in court on November 6th, 2012.

 

DOMESTIC BREACH

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 19-year-old Cornwall female was arrested on October 2nd, 2012. She was bound by two Undertaking with the relevant condition not to communicate directly or indirectly with 24-year-old boyfriend and/or to attend his residence, and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on October 2nd, 2012 she was located by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division at her 24-year-old’s boyfriend’s residence. She was charged with 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and held in custody until court the following day. Her name was not released as it may identify the male in this incident.

BREAK & ENTER

Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service are currently investigating a Break & Enter that occurred between September 28th, 2012 and October 2nd, 2012 at a Danis Avenue residence. The suspect(s) gained entry and removed a metallic green in colour flat screen television, a laptop and multiple CD’s. Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service are currently investigating a Break & Enter that occurred on October 2nd, 2012 at an Angela Crescent residence. The suspect(s) gained entry and removed a 15 inch black ACER, numerous jewelry and watches. (North Stormont) – On 03Oct12, at approximately 10:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Concession Road 21, North Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that in the previous week a female was assaulted by her 23yr old boyfriend.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

– Assault
– Breach of Probation Order

He is scheduled to appear 20Nov12 in Cornwall court.

(South Glengarry) – On 02Oct12, at approximately 1:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Lancaster St. South Glengarry Township.

The investigation revealed that over the last year a number of domestic incidents occurred between a female and her 52yr old husband.

The male as arrested and faces charges of:

– Assault
– Mischief-Destroy Property
– Assault Cause Bodily Harm
– Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
– Forcible Confinement
– Over coming Resistance to Commit Indictable Offence
– Criminal Harassment-beset and watch complainant

The male was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
(North Stormont) – On 02Oct12, at approximately 2:00pm, SD&G OPP officers clocked a north bound Nissan on Highway 138 at 163km/h in a posted 80km/h zone. The 45yr old male driver (Omar BENALI of Montreal, QC) passed another vehicle forcing oncoming traffic to take evasive action to avoid a collision.

The male faces charges of:

– Stunt Driving
– Dangerous Driving

He is scheduled to appear 25Oct12 Cornwall court to answer to the charge of Dangerous Driving.
