DOMESTIC ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 22-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 25th, 2012. It is alleged that on October 24th, 2012, he got into an altercation with his 18-year-old ex-girlfriend when he assaulted her. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault and released to appear in court on November 20th, 2012. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

 

FRAUD, UTTER FORGED DOCUMENT, ATTEMPT FRAUD & BREACH

 

            Cornwall, ON- Sherry Atwell, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on October 25th, 2012. She was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that between June 23rd, 2012 and October 23rd, 2012, she attended a local pharmacy several times and fraudulently obtained prescription medication using a forged prescriptions. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with 9 counts of Fraud, Fraud Attempt, 10 counts of Uttering Forged Document and Fail to Comply with Undertaking. She was released to appear in court on November 20th, 2012.

 

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 25th, 2012. It is alleged that on October 25th, 2012 he left with his 24-year-old ex-girlfriend’s motor vehicle without permission and failed to return it. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was located by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division and charged with Theft of Motor Vehicle. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- Jessyca Coleman, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on October 24th, 2012. She was bound by 5 Probation Orders with the conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and obey a 7 pm curfew. It is alleged that on October 24th, 2012 she was found away from her residence by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. She was charged with 6 counts Breach of Probation Order and released to appear in court on November 22nd, 2012.

 

DRUGS

            Cornwall, ON- Three individuals were arrested on October 25th, 2012. It is alleged that on October 25th, 2012 they attended the Canadian Border Service Agency Cornwall Port and were found to be in possession of approximately 15 grams of controlled substance believed to be cocaine. They were detained and turned over to the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division.

 

Maxim Tremblay, 21 of Lynn Laurentate, Quebec, Sebastien Mainville, 25 of Montreal, Quebec and Jessika Manny, 20 of St.Columba, Quebec were all charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance believed to be cocaine and released to appear in court on November 27th, 2012.

(North Stormont) – As a result of an ongoing fraud investigation conducted by the SD&G OPP Crime Unit, two males were arrested on Tuesday 23Oct12 in North Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that the males were attempting to defraud a North Stormont business using a money scam.

A 25yr old male (Alpha BAH of Saint-Laurent, QC) and a 29yr old male (Emmanuel GBALA of Laval, QC) face charges of:

– Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
– Fraud Over $5,000
– Fail to Comply with Undertaking or Recognizance

Both men were held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
