Evolution Cornwall Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Opened November 1, 2012 – First Lesson Free! – UPDATED

Evolution Cornwall BJJ instructors Stephen Lefebvre and Pat St. Pierre with some of their medals and trophies

CFN – After a series of weekend open houses, the city’s newest fitness club is officially open for business.  Purple belt instructor Stephen Lefebvre has several medals attesting to his expertise.  Lefebvre, who trained with Steven Burgess and Marcus Soares, previously taught Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) to military personnel at CFB Petawawa where he was a soldier.  He’s returned to his home city of Cornwall and is very pleased to be able to share his knowledge with area residents of all ages.

Whether you’re interested in a sport for the kids, fitness for yourself, or learning self-defence to better handle the bullies and other aggressors, BJJ may be just the ticket.

With Evolution Cornwall, your first lesson is always free!  On Thursday, November 1, 2012, how about coming out for a free evening of fun with others who will be getting an introductory lesson to find out if BJJ is for you!  You’ll find them conveniently located with ample free parking at 425 Fourth Street West on the Northwest corner of Fourth and Cumberland Streets (in the same building as another of CFN’s advertisers, Sewing A+ Plus.)   Stephen can be reached at 613-930-5489.

Instructor Stephen Lefebvre gave CFN’s Don Smith a tour of the club, a short demonstation and spoke about their vision.  Please take a look at our short video clip below.

UPDATE – NOVEMBER 1:  A dozen folks (8 male and 4 female) came out tonight for a free lesson.  After a very good warm up, demonstrations ensued with ample opportunity to practice new skills.  Participants ranged from young to not so young and included a variety of body types and fitness levels.  Our three minute video clip below let’s you have a peak at the good time we had.
