BREACH

 

 

Cornwall, ON- Derek Mayer, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on the 9th of November 2012. He was bound by the provisions of a Recognizance with the relevant conditions to not have care or control of a motor vehicle unless owner is present and not to be found in the company of anyone known to you to use or deal in drugs. It is alleged that on the 9th of November he was stopped while driving a motor vehicle without the owner present and the passenger was known to police to use and deal drugs. The male was subsequently charged with two counts of breach of Recognizance and held in custody until court later the same day.

MISCHIEF

 

 

Cornwall, ON- A 28 year old Cornwall female was arrested on the 7th of November 2012. It is alleged that on the 7th of November she got into a verbal argument with her 45 year old common law husband when she threw his laptop computer on the floor, causing it to break. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The female was subsequently charged with Mischief under $5000 and released to appear in court on the 11th of December. The name of the accused is not being released as it may identify the victim in this matter.

 

 

THEFT UNDER $5000

 

Cornwall, ON- Mary Whitford, 48 of Cornwall was arrested on the 7th of November 2012. It is alleged that she attended a Water Street department and removed property without making any attempts to pay for concealed items. She was detained by the store’s loss prevention officer and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. She was charged with Theft under $5000 and released to appear in court on December 4th, 2012.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, THREATS & BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- A 32-year-old Nepean man was arrested on November 6th, 2012. He was bound by an Undertaking with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on November 6th, 2012 he attended a 58-year-old male acquaintances residence when he assaulted and threaten his 21-year-old girlfriend with a knife. He also assaulted and threaten the 58-year-old male. The victims did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of assault, assault with a weapon, weapon dangerous, utter death threats and fail to comply with Undertaking. He was held in custody until court November 7th, 2012. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in this incident.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT & BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- A 58-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 6th, 2012. He was bound by Recognizance to Keep the Peace with the relevant conditions not to attend within 50 meters of his 39-year0old ex-girlfriend. He was also bound by a Recognizance of Bail with the relevant conditions to not associate or communicate directly or indirectly with his ex-girlfriend and not to be away from my residence except as follows: unless accompanied by your surety. It is alleged that on November 6th, 2012 he left his residence, attended his ex-girlfriend’s home and got into an altercation with her when he assaulted her. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault, 2 counts of Fail to Comply and Breach of Recognizance. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

WARRANTS

 

            Cornwall, ON- Charles Allanott, 73 of St.Catharines was arrested on November 6th, 2012 under the strength of 5 outstanding warrants. It is alleged that he failed to attend court on July 2nd, 2010 and September 29th, 2010 as well as breached his Recognizance and Undertaking, uttering threats, assault with weapon and failing to attend for fingerprints between June 29, 2010 and September 23rd, 2010. He was arrested by members of the Niagara Regional Police in St.Catharines and turned over to members of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was transported back to Cornwall to await court on November 7th, 2012.
