31 New Diamond Jubilee Recipients in Stormont, Dundas & South Glengarry by Don Smith

– Sunday afternoon at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Stormont, Dundas & South Glengarry M.P. Guy Lauzon had the honour of presenting 31 volunteers with Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medals.  North Dundas Mayor Eric Duncan served as Master of Ceremonies.  The medal recipients are from a variety of walks of life and have performed volunteer community service ranging from involvement in the Childrens’ Treatment Centre to the Royal Canadian Legion to Christian ministry.  Cornwall Free News salutes those who contribute so much to make our communities better places to live and work.

Following the presentations, guests were welcomed at a reception at St. Andrew’s School to enjoy cake and a beverage.
