Cornwall Police Seeking Assistance – POLICE BLOTTER for Monday January 14, 2013

image001PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REGARDING ROBBERY

 

image002Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigating a Robbery that occurred at approximately 3:00 am on January 11th, 2013 at a local convenience store on Second Street. Two suspects attended and threaten to harm the store employee as they removed an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes.

The suspect #1 is described as male wearing a black jacket with a hood, black and white Yankee tuque, beige pants and he had his face covered. The suspect #2 was described as a male wearing a black jacket or vest, the sleeves being white and grey, possible camo, black pants, black tuque and his face was covered. Both males were wearing winter gloves.

BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- Kelly Allen, 49 of Cornwall was arrested on January 11th, 2013. He was bound by an Undertaking with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to abstain from the consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substance and not to be in possession of vanilla extract. It is alleged that on January 11th, 2013 he was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating substances. He was charged with 3 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and held in custody until court the following day.

 

Cornwall, ON- A 22-year-old Deseronto, Ontario male was arrested on January 13th, 2013. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition not to associate directly or indirectly with his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend. It is alleged that on January 13th, 2013 he was found with the said female and charged with Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on February 19th, 2013. His name was not released as it would identify the female.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT & MISCHIEF

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 25-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 12th, 2013. It is alleged that on January 12th, 2013 he got into an altercation with his 23-year-old girlfriend when he assaulted her. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault and Mischief under $5000. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

IMPAIRED & OVER 80

 

            Cornwall, ON- Steven Benard, 38 of Gatineau, Quebec was arrested shortly prior to 6:00 am on January 12th, 2013. It is alleged that he was operating a motor vehicle on Brookdale Avenue while under the influence of alcohol. He was detained by the Canadian Border Service Agency and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division. He was charged with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle and transported for further testing which resulted in an additional charge of Over .80. He was released to appear in court on January 29th, 2013.

 

CAUSE DISTURBANCE, THREATS & BREACH

 

            Cornwall, ON- An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 12th, 2013. He was bound by a Youth Probation with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on January 12th, 2013 he uttered threats to his 52-year-old neighbour and caused a disturbance by yelling. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Cause a Disturbance, Utter Threats and Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court the following day.

 

WARRANT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Adeel Asif, 19 of Montreal, Quebec, was arrested on January 12th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on September 16th, 2012 he was operating a motor vehicle on Water Street when it collided with another motor vehicle. A 15-year-old and a 17-year-old female were injured as a result of the collision. He was charged with 2 counts of Dangerous operation causing bodily harm while street racing. He was held in custody until court the following day.

 

Cornwall, ON- Jessica Belmore, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on January 12th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding Probation Warrant. It is alleged that between October 27th, 2011 and March 9th, 2012 she failed to report to probation and failed to attend and actively participate in programs as recommended by her probation order. She was charged with 3 counts of Breach of Probation and held in custody until court the following day.

 

BREACH & RESIST ARREST

 

            Cornwall, ON- Rebecca Dillabough, 32 of Cornwall was arrested on January 13th, 2013. She was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour and abstain from the purchase/possession/consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances. It is alleged that on January 13th, 2013 she was found by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol division to be under the influence of alcohol. Upon her arrest, she resisted police. She was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and Resist Arrest. She was released to appear in court on February 19th, 2013.

 

BREAK & ENTER

 

            Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigating a Break & Enter that occurred on January 12th, 2013 at a Patrick Street residence. DOMESTIC BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON- A 20-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 13th, 2013. He was bound by a Conditional Sentence Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, not to associate or hold any communication directly or indirectly with his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend and not to be within 200 meters of her place of employment, education, or anyplace she may be found as well as full house arrest unless permission obtained by supervisor, in writing. It is alleged that between December 9th, 2012 and December 20th, 2012 he indirectly contacted with his ex-girlfriend and was away from his residence without permission. He was charged with Breach of Conditional Sentence Order and held in custody until court the following day.

 

ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Two Cornwall youths aged 15 and 17 were arrested on January 13th, 2013. It is alleged that on December 19th, 2012 they uttered threats and assaulted a 16-year-old male acquaintance upon leaving school. The victim suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. They were both charged with Assault and Utter Threats. They were both released to an adult to appear in court on February 21st, 2013. Their names were not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

WARRANT & BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- Madelaine Godard, 64 of Brockville was arrested on January 13th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. She was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on November 20th, 2012 she failed to attend court and a bench warrant was issued. She was charged with Fail   to appear for court and Fail to Comply with Undertaking. She was held in custody until court the following day.

 

IMPARIED OPERATION, OVER .80 & RESIST

 

            Cornwall, ON- Dylan Boltz, 19 of Cornwall was arrested shortly after 2:00 am on January 14th, 2013. It is alleged that he was operating a motor vehicle on Thirteenth Street West at Cumberland Street while being under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle. Upon his arrest, he resisted police. He was transported for further testing which resulted in an additional charge of Over .80 and resist arrest. He released to appear in court on January 29th, 2013.

(South Glengarry) – On 13Jan13, at approximately 9:30pm, SD&G OPP officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. check stop at the junction of Highway 401 eastbound off ramp and County Road 27, South Glengarry Township.

A blue 2003 Hyundai being operating by a 52yr old male (David CALLAHAN of South Glengarry) was stopped and the driver was requested to provide a breath sample for the approved screening device. The driver failed to provide a proper sample and was arrested.

The male faces a charge of:

– Fail to provide Breath Sample / Approved Screening Device / Peace Officer Demand / Motor Vehicle

He is scheduled to appear 22Jan13 in Cornwall court.
