Cornwall PoliceDOMESTIC ASSAULT & MISCHIEF

 

            Cornwall, ON- An 18-year-old Ingleside female was arrested on March 14th, 2013. It is alleged that on March 2nd, 2013 she got into an altercation with her 18-year-old ex-boyfriend when she assaulted him and damaged property. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Domestic Assault and Mischief under $5000. She was released to appear in court on April 30th, 2013. Her name was not released as it may identify the victim.

 

WARRANT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Hamza Suhail Malik, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on March 14th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on January 17th, 2013 he failed to attend court and a bench warrant was issued. He was held in custody until court the following day.

 

FRAUD OVER, UTTER FORGED DOCUMENT & FALSIFYING EMPLOYMENT RECORD

            Cornwall, ON- David Paauw, 50 of Cornwall was arrested on March 15th, 2013. It is alleged that between April 17th, 2012 and August 11th, 2012 he defrauded his employer of the sum of over $10,000 by providing false time slips for work that was not conducted. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Fraud over $5000, Utter Forged Document and Falsifying Employment Record. He was released to appear in court on April 25th, 2013.

BREACHES

Cornwall, ON- A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 16th, 2013. He was bound by a Recognizance with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was also bound by an Undertaking with the conditions of not to be away from his residence between the hours of 10pm and 6am unless accompanied by his mother and not to associate with any persons known to you to have criminal record or youth court record. He was also bound by a Probation Order with the conditions of to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and obey a curfew 10pm to 6am unless with written permission from his mother or father. It is alleged that shortly after 3:00 am on March 16th, 2013 he was found by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division to be away from his residence and associating with people with criminal records. He was charged with 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court on March 18th, 2013. His name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

ASSAULT POLICE & RESIST

            Cornwall, ON- Daniel Legue, 18 of Cornwall was arrested on March 16th, 2013. It is alleged that on March 16th, 2013 shortly after 3:00 am he aggressively charged at a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division. Upon his arrest he resisted. He was charged with Assault Police and Resist Arrest. He was released to appear in court on April 11th, 2013.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

            Cornwall, ON- A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 16th, 2013. It is alleged that in December 2012 he assaulted his 15-year-old girlfriend. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault and released to an adult to appear on court on May 2nd, 2013. His name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and it may identify the victim.

Cornwall, ON- A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 17th, 2013. It is alleged that on March 17th, 2013 he got into an altercation with his 28-year-old girlfriend when he assaulted her. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

ROBBERY

            Cornwall, ON- Anthony Delatour, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on March 16th, 2013. He was bound by a Recognizance with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour.  It is alleged that on March 16th, 2013 he unlawfully entered a Duncan Street residence and demanded property from a 17-year-old female and a 19-year-old male when he assaulted them. A firearm was also involved in this incident. The victims suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of Assault, Disguise with intent, Fail to comply with Recognizance, Break & Enter and Firearm- use while committing offence.

BREACHES & THEFT

Cornwall, ON- A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 17th, 2013. The youth was bound by a Youth Criminal Justice Act Conditional Sentence with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He is also bound by two Probation Orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and one of them having the condition of abide by a curfew by being in your place of residence between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. It is alleged that on or about March 12th, 2013 he removed money from his mother’s jacket. It is also alleged that on March 17th, 2013 shortly after 1:00 am he was found by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division to be away from his residence. The youth was charged with Theft under $5000 and 2 counts of Failure to comply with sentence. He was released to an adult to appear in court on April 18th, 2013.

It is also alleged that on March 17th, 2013 the youth left his residence, failed to return and removed money from his mother. Police were contacted and investigation followed. The youth was located and charged with Theft under $5000, 2 counts of Failure to comply with sentence and 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking. The youth was held in custody until court on March 18th, 2013. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON- Kevin Simser, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on March 17th, 2013. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that he attended a Water Street store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for the items. He was detained by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division. He was charged with Breach of Probation Order and Theft under $5000. He was released to appear in court on April 25th, 2013.

Cornwall, ON- A couple were arrested on March 17th, 2013. It is alleged that on March 16th and 17th, 2013 they attended a Ninth Street East store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for the items. On March 17th, 2013, they were pursued by the stores Loss Prevention Officer and were found by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division.

Fowler Thompson, 27 of Cornwall was bound by two Undertakings as well as a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was charged with 2 counts of Theft under $5000 and 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court the following day.

Angeline Ceasor, 18 of Cornwall was bound by 2 Probation Orders with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. She was charged with 2 counts of Theft under $5000 and Breach of Probation Order. She was released to appear in court on April 16th, 2013.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

          Cornwall, ON- A 39-year-old Martintown man was arrested on March 17th, 2013. It is alleged that on March 17th, 2013 he got into an altercation with his 39-year-old ex-wife when he caused damaged to property. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Mischief and released to appear in court on April 25th, 2013. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.
