Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigating the theft of a 1995 Toyota Tercel, 2 door, dark green in colour from a Montreal Road parking lot. DISQUALIFIED DRIVE

 

            Cornwall, ON- Christopher Rockwell, 28 of Akwesasne was arrested on April 25th, 2013. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. His driver’s licence was currently suspended criminally for Prohibited Drive- Impaired, Fail to blow and Fail to stop. It is alleged that on April 25th, 2013 he was found by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division operating a motor vehicle on Sydney Street. He was charged with 3 counts of Drive while disqualified and Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on May 21st, 2013.

 

WARRANT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Joel Leal-Acevedo, 63 of Cornwall was arrested on April 25th, 2013 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on January 30th, 2013 a probation order warrant was sought after he failed to report and notify a change of address. He was located and held in custody until court the following day.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, OVERCOMING RESISTANCE, MISCHIEF & BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 46-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 25th, 2013. He as bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and not be in the presence of his 37-year-old girlfriend while having consumed alcohol. It is alleged that during the early hours of April 25th, 2013 he got into an altercation with his 37-year-old girlfriend when he assaulted her and chocked her. It is also alleged that he caused damage to the residence. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault, Overcoming Resistance, Mischief under $5000 and 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

BREAK & ENTER ARRESTS, DRUGS & BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- Members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at a William Street residence on April 25th, 2013. As a result of an investigation 3 people were arrested in connection to a Break & Enter that occurred on April 15th, 2013 at a Tenth Street residence. During the search warrant, members of the Cornwall Community Police Service found a controlled substance believed to be marijuana.

 

Dean Madore, 32 of Cornwall was charged with Break & Enter and Possession of a controlled substance. He was held in custody until court the following day.  

 

            Kayla Ingram, 21 of Cornwall was charged with Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of a controlled substance. She was released to appear in court at a later date.

 

Jonathan Charlebois, 25 of Cornwall was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was also bound by a Order of Committal. He was charged with Break & Enter, Breach of Probation Order and 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance. He was also arrested under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on April 23rd, 2013 he failed to attend court and a bench warrant was issued. He was located and held in custody until court later that day.

 

SEXUAL ASSAULT & THEFT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 25th, 2013. It is alleged that on April 25th, 2013 he inappropriately touched a 13-year-old female and removed her cell phone. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with Sexual Assault and Theft under $5000. The youth was released to appear in court on May 30th, 2013. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

FAIL TO ATTEND & BREACH

            Cornwall, ON- Marisa Lupien, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on April 22nd, 2013. She was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on April 15th, 2013 she failed to attend for fingerprints. She was located and charged with Breach of Probation Order and Fail to attend for fingerprints. She was held in custody until later that day.

 

WARRANTS

            Cornwall, ON- Tommy Kouros, 47 of Kingston was arrested on April 23rd, 2013 under the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged that on November 9th, 2012, he failed to attend for fingerprints and a warrant was issued. It is also alleged that on November 13th, 2012 he failed to attend court and a bench warrant was sought. He was located in Kingston by the Kingston Police Service and was turned over to the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division. He was held in custody until court later that day.

Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [STORMONT DUNDAS and GLENGARRY] Stolen Vehicle 2013-04-25

(South Dundas) – On 24Apr13, at approximately 5:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a theft on Charles St. South Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that sometime between 21st – 24th April 2013, unknown suspect(s) attended a residence and removed a 2006 Polaris four wheeler.

The investigation is ongoing.
